Due to the below expected performance of games such as Star Wars: The Old Republic and Battlefield 3, EA is apparently looking to layoff roughly 500-1000 people as early as this week. EA has denied the claim stating that “EA is growing and hiring – building teams to support the growing demand for digital games and services.”

I like the EA games but EA games don’t like nintendo
You must be kidding, right?
EA is one of the few publishers which consistently tries to make the Wii versions of their games unique, and not just a downport. Just see Fifa. It is also one of the few which still bothered to release spin-off to titles that wouldn’t be easily translated, such as Dead Space: Extraction, easily the best on-rails shooter for any platform.
In the meantime, companies like Activision only release CoD ports ridden with framerate issues and Skylanders.
EA may not be the most consumer-friendly company around, but if we’re talking Nintendo love, get your aim on the right targets.
Not to mention theyre helping nintendo with the wii U’s online:3
Bit of a useless story, am I going to believe a website I have never heard of, or EA, the blood-sucking evil company that no one likes?
…
Tough decision, but I’m going with EA.
Better the devil you know, right?
Poor performance of Old Republic? That’s rubbish right there.
This. SWTOR is doing amazingly well.
I don´t now the numbers but I thought those games were selling well, was it just hype then no one cared after the games were released.
BF3 is still selling well in the states, so I douvt its just hype
*doubt
Not to be rude, but I thought this was “My Nintendo News”?

EA loves the wiiU.ive heard that on previous news!
Oh dear… The ones who took administration of EA, must quit and retire, find a hole in another planet (because they polute this one with their nasty work and ideas) and get inside… This are the ones who destroyed EA, not the workers..
why so much hate for ea? i find it a good company (for pc)
yes if you comply with their demands and install rootkits in your pc…
…well i dont know
-Origin tries to hard to be like Steam
-They ban anyone for swearing on youtube.
-They ban anyone who talk bad about EA.
-On-line pass.
And that is just the tip of the Iceberg.

OH MY GOD… now I remember, thats why one of ea employees attacked me on amazon.uk.. Because I am against origin and I posted a message under the game.. hahahaha They track everything.. They are everywhere.. get them

Yes, lets send the administration to ARENANET or Blizzard for some seminars, how MMOs are made.
