Nintendo Considering Pre-Installed Software For Wii U

Nintendo announced at the E3 Nintendo analyst meeting that it’s seriously considering including pre-installed software with Wii U in certain markets. Many were expecting Nintendo Land to be a bundled game, but it seems as though it may be a fully fledged retail title. What would you like to see prepackaged with Wii U?

    1. No No No
I’m not paying for a collection of Mini games/ Tutorial. I Played Wii Sports one time and never touched it again. It’s going to be the same with Nintendo Land. I will never buy it!

        1. I Hate COD so i will agree with that. Still not buying it tho. I consider myself a core gamer, but why do people think that means i like COD? I actually hate almost all shooters tbh >.<

      1. NintendoLand looks more comparable to WiiPlay then WiiSports.

I personally hope that NintendoLand is NOT included with the WiiU, it would only increase the cost of the bundle and for those not really looking for a game like that then it is extra money to spend unnecessarily.

NintendoLand, for what it is, is a great concept and would have no trouble at all selling as a stand alone product, to those interested in such a game. If I was new to Nintendo and its popular IPs then NintendoLand would be an awesome title to grab my attention and further build interest in Nintendo – I would likely look to play more of Nintendos games which include characters from NintendoLand.

This may not be a game that I myself am keen on and to those who were not shown a game they wanted, so then hating on the games that were not wanted is unfair to Nintendo and those genuinely keen on NintendoLand.

As seen with games like NintendoLand, such as WiiPlay and WiiSports Resort, there will be no problem being sold separately or over long periods of time. I would not be surprised if it outsold Watch Dogs.

  1. If nintendo land is a full fledged retail title I won’t be buying it. I will however be getting pikmin 3, Rayman and assassins creed 3 at launch.

    1. Oh and of course nsmbu I love Mario side scrollers…also if mass effect 3 came with a special edition that had all 3 of them on it I would consider because I never played them b4.

      1. Nooo onee will buy nintendo land. I mean no beacause is a bad game, is because with a launch line inlcuding mario, pikmin, zombie, rayman, aliens, darksiders, why someone buy Nintendo land???

And mass effect 3….. i agree with you i have all 3 for my ps3 and well at least bundle the second. The first one was mehh but the second one rocks
And it gives you more story understanding

        1. av u played it? NO? SHUT THE FUCK UP then. Alot of ppl actually rly liked it at the showfloor. It just wasnt shown very well….

          1. Relax dude, i never said is a bad game it could be great but with more exciting games at launch why would someone buy it?? Specially with how they presented
If i was rich sureeeee give me 10 copies
But am not, so y have to select my games more careful and in my list i gave 8 games before it
            Its an opinion :D

  2. What? So Nintendo Land isn’t even the pre-packaged title and they spent more time on that than Pikmin 3, New Super Mario Bros U combined? I can almost guarantee about 20% of the audience won’t buy Nintendo Land based on how annoying it was in the presentation. Package the console with NSMBU or Nintendo Land, or just Nintendo Land and make NSMBU the primary launch title.

    1. I’d rather see Pikmin 3 be the primary launch title. They’ve been overusing Mario recently- include NSMBU in the launch lineup, but Pikmin 3 should be the big one.

  3. Nintendo Land better be a packaged game or else people are going to overlook it. If the game is supposed to be the tutorial on how to use the Wii U Gamepad it needs to come with the hardware. Make the right move, Nintendo. Leave luck to heaven.

    1. The reason they won’t package a game with the system like they did with Wii sports and the Wii, is because casual gamers never bought another game. After they played Wii sports they had everything they needed! Nintendo is a company they need money to run and therefore try will make people buy there games!

      1. You may be right, I don’t think you are. After playing Nintendoland and seeing those classic Nintendo franchises, when a main title for one of them come out they will want to pick those up.

  4. I would like to see pokemon world in wii u… Online world in which we can do anything we want to do…

                1. speaking in development people though that smash bros would be in this e3, but it just started. talk about lying to them self.LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. nintendo land need to be pre packaged
in terms of pre-installed though, i think we need nintendo paronama, wii sports u, battle mii and chase mii and sheild pose – they looked better than the nintendo land stuff
plus an ar type thing with the game pad

  6. It says in some markets. I think that includes America. I am no expert when it comes to these sort of things but I think NintendoLand has a better shot at selling on its own in Japan. I think that NintendoLand will have the same fate as Wii Sports. It will be bundled with the Wii U in America and be sold separately in Japan.

  7. FOR ME, personally, I believe NINTENDO land is IDEAL to be per-installed, because it is a mii (Avatar) game, content… This will also give to nintendo the ability to insert, improve at any times the content of the theme park… We miss a Stadium though, for competitions…

  8. It doesn’t make any sense to not have Nintendo Land come with the system, whether on disk or preinstalled on the system.

      1. WE NEED YOUR HELP STARFOX .. SONY HAS DECLARED WAR THEY HAVE INVADED THE ENTIRE E3 AND THEY ARE TRYING TO TAKE ALL OVER CORE-GAMERS, OUR “NINTENDO LAND” ALONE CAN’T DO THE JOB! HURRY STARFOX!!

  9. NintendoLand better be pre-installed/pre-packaged. I won’t get it otherwise. Just flat out better games to buy and I’d rather focus my money on said games than a collection of minigames and such.

  10. if nintendoland is prepackaged like wii sports then i’m fine with that and i’ll probably play a little bit but if not, i’m not buying it of my own free will. pikmin, mario, and rayman will be quite enough to keep me occupied

  11. Nintendoland has to be pre-packaged, or nobody is going to buy it. It’ll be enough as it is buying NSMBU, Pikmin 3, Rayman, ZombiU, and other titles seperately.

  12. I’d really like it to be Nintendoland, but anything else is fine. I just want SOMETHING to come with the system.

  13. …that makes no sense. Wii came with Wii Sports as a package deal so people understood the Wii Controler better. The same should be for Nintendo Land because it teaches you the things you can do on the Wii U…plus the Wii U is expensive as it is and they should give us as much stuff for it as possible! Its like 50 bucks more expensive than the Wii. Thats about as much as a Wii games so its a fair deal to include Nintendo Land!

  14. WE NEED YOUR HELP STARFOX .. SONY HAS DECLARED WAR THEY HAVE INVADED THE ENTIRE E3 AND THEY ARE TRYING TO TAKE ALL OVER CORE-GAMERS, OUR “NINTENDO LAND” ALONE CAN’T DO THE JOB! HURRY STARFOX!!

  15. a Wii U gamers community, kinda like Playstation home. Maybe also some kind of way to edit your Miis like in the 3DS where you can wear hats. Maybe you can wear not only hats but different shirts or pants, shoes and accessories
    .

  16. The games they showed at E3 last year would be cool! Like Chase Mii and Battle Mii, even The shield pose game!

  17. Maybee and i say maybee nintendo is waiting for TGS to drop the atomic bomb so they can hype things 2-3 months before wii u launch instead of a 6 month waiting that is the e3

I know they cant show us zelda or smash bros and pleaseee no moree marioo!!!!!! Unless is sunshine 2 :D
I want starfox or metroid!!! Only onee!!! I dont careee!! I dont mind if is a 2013 release!! I obly want to believe….
Leave luck to…. We need more than luck this time

  18. Oh please, don’t have pre-installed software. I, nor any body I know, has used any of the pre-installed software on the Wii or 3DS. It’s nothing but a waste of storage space.
Also, Nintendo Land really needs to be bundled with the console. I can’t see many people buying it if it is a retail game.

  19. It should come packaged becuase they wven said it themselves it was like a introduction game to the wii u, so it should come bundled and be able to recieve updates for more minigames. Wii U better get into the habit of updating games now…

  20. I’m not getting a Wii U at launch due to the horrible presentation yesterday at E3. However if Nintendo shows me a good reason to, then you can best believe I won’t pay 50$ fore Nintendo land.

  21. So apparently, Reggie said in an interview with IGN, that we will be “pleasantly surprised” with the pricing of Wii U. He went on to say that they have the same ideal image to keep that same price over a long period of time, rather than pricing it high, and lowering it over the next few months. ~This all sounds fantastic to me! Expect a price around $299.99 – $349.99.

  22. Nintendo Land is to the Wii U what Wii Sports was to the Wii. Nintendo needs to bundle this as a good quality demo of the concept behind the game pad experience.

    1. Agreed… I hate to say, and I’m sure nintendo land is fun, but if it is not bundled with the wii u there is no chance in hell that I will buy it. I had fun with wii sports, but I never would have purchased it in a million years… Plus the casual market doesn’t understand why you would ever purchase a game machine that can’t play games out of the box.

  23. Pingback: E3'12: Wii U podría llegar con software preinstalado de serie | www.nextn.net

  24. I’m expecting NintendoLand to be the packaged-in game if they decide to do pre-installed software. If I had my way, I would package in New Super Mario Bros. U or Pikmin 3 just so those games could have extremely good sales like Wii Sports did. I would love to see New Super Mario Bros. U claim top spot as the world’s best selling game of all time (after Wii Sports dethroned Super Mario Bros.).

  25. So Nintendo wants Nintendo Land to be the thing that invites people to the Wii U and allows them to fully understand how the touch screen controller works alongside your television, and they expect us to buy it separate from the system? Forget this. It needs to be prepackaged with the console, to better guarantee a chance that people are going to play it. If they want people to understand how their new console works, we need something to use as a reference point, and they seem very confident that Nintendo Land is what we need. It’s completely illogical to sell it as a separate retail title.
