Activison Publishing Angry Birds HD On Consoles

Activision will be publishing the smash-hit mobile game Angry Birds on a variety of consoles. The information was revealed when The Escapist spotted “an eerily familiar, tiny red bird soaring kamikaze-style into the Activision logo’s giant “A” during an  Activision promo reel being shown off at E3. Expect to hear which consoles it’s being launched on in the next couple of weeks.

“We’ll have some news for you in about two weeks,” Activision said. “Wait until you see Angry Birds on consoles in HD.”

    1. Probably with the PS3 using the Move, and on the 360 using the Kinect. It seems to make sense to me…on the Wii U clearly it would show on the controller the zoomed in view where you can launch it, and the TV would show the whole field for the current level.

      1. the Kinect its not good enough for this kind of games imo… i can see move working, but just a single slip in your hand and your bird will fly high…

this was made to work with your fingers (or a mouse, cause of the pinpoint accuracy), hence it should work on WiiU

  1. Am tired .the game is great but come on how many do we have to play they are making this game look like shovel ware

  2. It would work really well on the Upad. Maybe even puts some Miis in there, instead of firing birds from the slingshot, fire Miis with helmets on. Angry Miis. Nah that wouldn’t work.I have no idea how that idea came to me. Leave luck to heaven.

    1. They could have like a “Mii Mode”. It would have the same levels, but instead of birds there would be Miis. There would a Mii that throws bombs, a Mii that has a speed boost, a normal Mii, and a Mii that when shoot it from the slingshot, it’s in the air, you tap the screen and wind blows the Mii and it acts like a boomerang and smashes the fort.
      Just an idea….

  3. I don’t get what people see in this game, it personally bore the hell out of me after like 2 levels

  4. I would rather play Call of Duty on a console than Angry Birds. And yes, I can’t believe I said that.

  5. I’m not sure how this would work… I can’t imagine Angry Birds going from a portable to a full fledged console…
