Assassin’s Creed 3 creative director Alex Hutchinson believes that all consoles are now on an equal footing with the arrival of Wii U. Hutchinson says that consumers will now be able to purchase a version of the game and not worry that they’ve bought the inferior version.
“It’s exciting for me that all consoles for once are the same. Between PC, 360, PS3 and Wii U, they’re the same game. “We’re just showing everyone that everything’s fine. There’s no need to worry. Every platform you buy it on will be great.”

As someone who owns a ps3, the majority of its exclusives are shooters, and okay platformers.
Even if the PS3 is my favorite console of this gen, just 2% ahead the Wii, the PS3 didn’t have the same impact as the pS1 and PS2. No Jak and Daxter, Kingdom Hearts and Tekken/ Final Fantasy going multi plats really hurt the PS3. Heck, MGS may go multi plat next gen!

Sony pretty much said the ps4 is a good few years off, and they still want to keep that 10 year life cycle, so 2015, late 2014 sounds about right to me.

Besides, look at a game like Dead Space 2, The Last of Us, that Zelda tech demo. Why do we need better graphics? Its not like the N64 days, or even the ps2 days. Games are not restricted by hardware anymore, everything that people do from now on is just detail. Games wont be bigger because they require more memory and all next gen uses 25GB (dual layered 50GB disks), although the WiiU will. All these delusional people thining graphics are better because Epic said so. Ermm, Epic will get money for it, of course they’ll say it. The better the engine, the more money they’ll get.

At least they’re worth it. I payed 400€ (nearly 500$) for one of my consoles (no, not for my Wii) and I never felt the slightest bit of regret for doing so because it simply was worth every single Euro I payed for it. Yeah, the 360 isn’t the best console if you are looking to play some great games. I’m kinda regretting buying it instead of PS3 actually, because Halo was the only thing worth playing on it to be honest.
But I still liked games like Forza, Nuts and Bolts (I thought that game was fun, innovative and hard as shit, which is my kind of game, so before you guys bash me because all the reviewers of the game said bad stuff, it’s because they wanted it to be based on BK’s original roots), Fable wasn’t all that fun, Perfect Dark Zero was so-so, Crackdown was kind of fun and I haven’t had the opportunity to play Gears of War, but it looked fun.
That’s basically all the worth-mentioning games that the 360 has and it can’t beat the other consoles, especially not PS3. Sony releases like a at least a new first-party game of their famous franchises each year on the PS3. They have Ratchet & Clank, Sly Cooper, Jak & Daxter, God of War, Killzone, Resistance, Twisted Metal, Fat Princess, inFamous, LittleBigPlanet, Uncharted, Modnation Racers, WipeOut, Gran Turismo and the coming Playstation All-Stars Battle and LittleBigPlanet Karting as well as many others.
Nintendo has Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Metroid, StarFox, F-Zero, Pikmin, Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, Donkey Kong, Kid Icarus, Ice Climbers, Fire Emblem, Pokémon, Kirby, Earthbound and more franchises. Sadly, many of those franchises haven’t been on the Wii at all and Nintendo has totally neglected the Wii right now with more first-party titles.
I don’t know about you guys, but being a PS3 owner right now is probably the best time than ever. 360 will still get Halo 4, next Gears of War, Forza, Fable games etc (the Fable game doesn’t look that exciting since it’s for Kinect) and Wii isn’t getting anything, but a PS3 owner can expect a new Ratchet and Clank game, a new Sly Cooper game, a new God of War game, LittleBigPlanet Karting as well as Playstation All-Stars Battle for the coming six months. I don’t know why I neglected Sony so much, since they are supporting their consoles more than any other company (they are even going to release collections of past games to those who missed out on the early titles that they had on PS2/PS3). For me, the only consoles that I need to fulfill my gaming needs are the Wii with its unique franchises as well as PS3 with its vast collection of different genre games. The 360 is just a fill-in.
yeah the reasonxbox had shitty titles and mostly halo was because of the lack of disk space compared to sonys bluray but in the beggining though xbox had more exclusives than sony did. this time however xbox isgetting blu ray the only way sony will repeat the dominance of exclusive like this gen over xbox is if they put in their new purple ray disk thats suppose to surpass bluray but seeing how they are financial hole i doubt theyll add the purple ray unless they want to launch the console at an expensive price tag
