Prince of Persia creator, Jordan Mechner, developed a game back in 1984 which was titled Karateka. The game saw you assume the role a of a practitioner of martial arts, who then sets out to rescue a princess from the evil Akuma. This game is currently being developed for the PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and iOS, but a recent ESRB rating reveals that Karateka is also destined for Wii U.
Haha! Yes! :D

@peteriuss evil back up clone Hi Jamie, I’ve already spoken to you about trolling.
Why don’t you simply remove the comment or ban him then?

I’ve got an issue with the voting system, which is supposed to stop trolls. However: this does not make things a lot better. There’s several steps that need to be taken in order to stop the trolling bit by bit.
1) A ”flag/spam” button. Much more effective to go against trolls than the voting system (which is more of use to let know you do or do not share the same opinion as someone). This way it’s quicker for you to check whether someone is indeed spamming or not, and if they are, a simple ip ban.
2) No anonymous posting. I realize this may be ironic since I always post as anonymous myself, but trolls won’t disappear until this is done. People usually don’t like trolling so much that they sign up to do it, and when they do, an ip ban will be much more efficient on such a site than on a site that has the option of anonymous posting. If people don’t need to sign up, they only need a proxy after being banned – on a site that requires signing up they’d also need a whole new account. Less trolls is a guarantee.
I think your userbase is strong enough to hold on to even if you were to remove the anonymous posting option.
Love the news on this site though!
Hope you respond.
I agree. I would imagine forcing people to sign in with twitter, FB or an e-mail address, would make banning them much easier since you could target those specific accounts?
@anonymous If I removed the comment then I wouldn’t have been able to reply to him. IP ban is not as simple as you think as a lot of people are sitting on proxies (I often check this). With regards to anonymous posting I find those that decline to enter their email or username tend to offer more sensible comments than some of the ones that do, so I think it’s wrong to turn this feature off. Glad you’re enjoying the news though.
Then you could just not reply and delete the comment.
________________
IP ban is in fact pretty simple, just block the IP a troll is using – proxy or not. If you do this in combination with disabling the anonymous posting option (or only having to enter an e-mail, which are often throwaways), it will get tiresome for the trolls to continue making whole new accounts all the time.
Indeed: those who post as anonymous often have more serious posts, but this means it’s probable that all serious users will be willing to sign up to a new comment system than the trolls are. Now the trolls are gone and you still have the serious users, maybe even more because they will not be held back by the annoying trolls.
Of course you do not have to do any of this, and sorry for being persistent like this, but I think this would be a good solution to get rid of the spamming.
And of course – regardless of all of this – a ”flag” button would also prove worthy of having.
Thanks. Now that is moderation yeah!
not really if i am still here….
It’s good to see you taking action
this^?
my this^ comment ended up in the wrong place
INB4 the idiotic Aoelus trys to convince us the CPU in the WiiU is 15 years old.
idiots can only convince idiots, it’s irrelevant to real gamers
This is true. It just makes me wonder if half his trolling on this site is due to misinformation he recieved about the WiiU CPU, or he’s really just a genuine troll lol.
he’s just desperately looking for any evidence to suggest that the WiiU won’t do well. it doesn’t matter to him that it’s misinformation, as long as it’s posted somewhere. he’s just really desperate to justify owning whatever console he has.
A New Karateka for Wii U? I remember playing that back on the Apple //e. It’ll be great to see Karateka make a revival like Kid Icarus Uprising.
Hi guys again enter the Club Bioshock community code for Mario Kart 7 everyone! It’s 46-4500-8023-4085
I just thought of something off the wall;
Give the main character a katana and stylish straw hat, remove the last two letters of the bad guy’s name, and take the princess rescuing out of the equation.
Then mix in time travel.
SAMURAI JACK!XD
But no, seriously, I hope to hear more details about this title soon.

Many years ago, I used to play Karateka on the Apple II computer at an elementary school. That game was as chalenging as playing Mechner’s other game… Prince of Persia. I hope that Karateka is as successful as the PoP franchise is right now.
Reblogged this on drndark and commented:
Happy days are here again..
It is good to see that the Wii U is getting upcoming multiplats.
I’m looking forward to this game. If it’s anywhere near as good as the PoP reboot from a few years ago, I’ll buy it. Leave luck to heaven.
Huh… sounds like a certain red-capped plumber that ik of.
Nice one sickr
sickr, could you please delete my comment with the “boring”-video? ’cause now it looks like a trollcomment :/
Cool. I am a die hard Prince of Persia fan.
