Nintendo Will Be Coming To GDC Europe For The First Time

gdc_13_logo

Nintendo has confirmed that it will be attending this year’s Games Developer Conference in Europe. The Kyoto based firm will be holding two special sessions according to GDC with details of the talks to be announced sometime in the near future. This year will be the first year that Nintendo has participated in GDC Europe, so I’m sure we will undoubtedly hear something interesting.

    1. Uhh hello! this is ausome news!!!! i am also goin with my developor cuzin william sanders so may b wen im theyre i mite b able to meat Nintendo!! i hope i can meat Nintendo wile im at gdc in erope!!!

    1. Been announced that the only real possibility of Dragon Quest X outside of Japan is a PC version. I know, I’m quite disappointed to. Europe and US hardly ever get any love….

    1. i’ll never understand that.. won’t it be exactly the same thing as wii fit in slightly better graphics (wich are totally unimportant)? i don’t exactly see the gamepad being used for physical excercise

        1. perhaps, but i still don’t see the point of releasing (or buying) a new version unless the wii U offered some new unheard of ways of excercising

          1. Well, our casual citizens will buy it probably…

Although I doubt it will even sell half the amount Wii Fit sold on the Wii…

  1. Aslong as it’s a new announcement or details about games we only recently heard about then it will be great…

    1. so suddenly gaming companies are desperate because they attend one of the biggest gaming conventions on earth? please elaborate

      1. Yes, why would Nintendo chose to join in a convention that for the pass few years it has been avoiding like the plague, IF not for the fact that they desperated to show the Wii U as much as posible before the XB1 and the PS4 came to the market?

        1. every company wants to show their new console as much as possible :P
and nintendo hasn’t done nearly enough showing

btb disregard my first comment.. i was thinking about GC i.e. gamescom the whole time… that’s bullshit of course

still i don’t see why nintendo shouldn’t join GDC

          1. Me neither, in fact I think Nintendo should have join the GDC and every other important VG conventions as soon and early as possible.

But over all other things, I really really would like that Nintendo cater a little bit more for the Latino Market; Sony and Microsoft are dominating this part of the American continent.

    2. Maybe they’re rebuilding their competence at presenting to people… Let’s admit it, 2012’s E3 showing for them was shit, and their adverts haven’t been much better.

      1. Why would we concern ourselves with last year’s E3?…

And I agree about the advertising, it has not improved at all in Europe anyway…

  2. zomg… too bad cologne is a quite a way from where i live.. i don’t go there anymore ever since gamescom moved there from leipzig x_x.. why the hell did they have to switch locations

  4. Nintendo must hype heavy hitting, exclusive software.
And when it hits, it better be fan-fucking-tastic.
I mean, it’s gotta blow peoples socks off.
They have a long way to go to build rapport and reputation.
I hope they are finally learning. Even if they had to learn the hard way

  5. Huh, interesting move. Well, to spend all of that money to be at the event, they must have a decent amount of things to show. I wonder what their goal is by going this year.

  6. Hopefully they are going to give Bravely default eu release date there, i mean its comin this year? It would be cool if they will announce all those 3ds dragon quest games to be localized and Dq x too. Fuckin Square enix that doesnt have balls to publish “risky” games themselfs.

  7. I also think nintendo is a bit desperate to show off the wiiU, since its their first ever GDC more people are going to look at them hoping for a big surprise or something along the line, but im sure they’ll just end up being a big disppoinent..

  8. Nintendo has said that they have titles they haven’t even talked about and with this their first foray into GDC I believe they will probably have some newsworthy information to dish out. Then again I’m only speculating. Lately they seem more focused on Nintendo Directs to make the big reveals….
