Legendary Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma has revealed that collecting rupees will be more important than in previous Zelda games with The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds.  Aonuma says that gamers may think the same thing applied in previous Zelda titles, but he says this time around collecting precious rupees is more important than ever.

“Collecting rupees, the currency of the Zelda world, will be very important in this game. You might think that was the case with all the past games too, but I must say that this time it will be more important than ever and you will need to collect a great deal of them.”

  1. I hope they have a good idea if they’re doing this, and it’s nothing like coins in New Super Mario Bros 2, because that was pointless.

    1. That’s false, when you collect coins and you’re connected to the internet there’s a counter and that triggered release of a free DLC…

      1. What? Everyone got the “free DLC” then you had to pay for the rest… Idon’t think you’re right on this…

      1. Senseless like collecting*

Indeed, you, myself and a lot of people thought the same. Seems that all of us hated e coins issue in New Super Mario Bros 2.

  2. I have great expectations towards this game since Alttp was my first Zelda game that i played. I hope Aonuma knows what he is doing. Does anyone know how big Miyamotos role is on this game since he was the man behind Alttp ? So far this game looks damn good imo.

  3. As long as we don’t need for something like the Triforce quest in Wind Waker where you need to pay Tingle to decipher the Triforce charts

    1. I hope has to do with building better version of the sword like when you made the gold sword in majoras mask but with more variations.

  4. If you want a new copy of Rayman Legends for Wii U shipped to your door at a grand total of $54.11 (that’s including shipping and tax) go to Gamestop.com and enter the promo codes TECHBAR10 and SAVER. I believed it expires Sept. 17.

  5. Just PLEASE don’t let the entire game be based solely on collecting rupees. The whole coin collecting is why I was never interested in New Super Mario Bros. 2
