More Details Emerge For Child Of Light

child_of_light_battleMore details have been revealed for the newly announced platformer RPG Child of Light. Developed by Ubisoft, you play as the female protagonist Aurora – a young princess with a pure heart whose soul is brought to the Kingdom of Lemuria – trapped in a waking dream. The Kingdom is in utter despair as the wicked Black Queen has taken the sun, the moon, and the stars for her own greedy desires and needs Aurora to restore the three sources of light to Lemuria.

Take an extraordinary journey through the vast world of Lemuria and explore its mythical environments, interact with its inhabitants as you discover new locations and their secrets. Core gameplay allows Aurora the power to fight creatures from the dark and to restore the Stolen Lights from the Black Queen in turn-based combat. And fighting alongside your firefly ally, Igniculus, will give the princess an extra edge in battle, as he can be controlled by another player in co-op mode to retrieve items and interrupt enemies – much like Murfy in Rayman Legends. Child of Light is on target for a 2014 release for the Wii U eShop.  And if you haven’t seen the gorgeous trailer yet, you can view it here.

  1. I just feel annoyed though that most games aren’t coming to the Wii U, they say it’s failing because no one is helping it out…and so they don’t help out it’s like ugh c’mon guys :(

    1. We know you just want to divert our attention away from the fact that the best of ubisoft’s other once hidden gems is coming to the WiiU. Best version confirmed, offscreen play is that reason. Ubisoft can only afford three games at a time on the WiiU now, because next year the owners of the WiiU Mario and gang are landing, you know how they keep on selling as third party titles that release to close to nintendo IPs flounder.

  2. Ubisoft is the only 3rd party who seems to actually be putting effort into making their games for the Wii U and then you have others like Rockstar making lame excuses. If Ubisoft can do it, any 3rd party can too.

    1. Don’t they always “give” Japan to us anyway?…

I really hope that WWHD is the true beginning of Wii U Domination…

  5. Looks like it has potential, but I’m burnt out on this kinda platformer. I just can’t swallow any more.

Looking forward to Wonderful 101, MAYBE Mario 3D world, and a few of the games coming out next year.
