Game Informer has reviewed The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds and has given it a perfect score. A Link Between Worlds is a direct sequel to 1991’s A Link to the Past and is Nintendo’s premiere holiday title for the Nintendo 3DS in 2013. Many revere A Link to the Past as the pinnacle of the Zelda franchise, so expectations are set very high for the game. A Link Between Worlds is set to be released on November 22nd in Europe and North America. The review praises Nintendo’s willingness to shake up the Zelda formula, as well as quite a few other aspects of the game.

- Heart piece puzzles are clever.
- Loved how drawing mechanic causes you to look at the game from a whole different perspective.
- The game has some of the best dungeons and boss battles Link has ever experienced.

Most games are “rehashes”, like ~99% of ‘new’ things are practically rehashes (not just in the video game industry, but everywhere). Innovations are rare, but they stand out. That doesn’t neccesarilly mean innovation makes games good or that rehashes are not good anymore.
Some people’s favaorite games take gameplay mechanics, story plot, control setup, etc. from previous works. Still people enjoy them.
With that in mind, different poeple have their own opinions on scores. SMG2, a direct sequal, got several 10s. 3D Land got several 10s, why can’t a “rehash” get good scores, why can’t 3D World?
On the other hand, it could possibly get low scores, but you don’t have to troll fans for wishing great reviews.

Online wouldn’t have made it 100x better…not even close. Online gaming is vastly overrated – I’m pleased Nintendo didn’t waste their time trying to implement it for this game, because doing it in a satisfying way for this type of game would be an unbelievable challenge.

Haven’t you read anything about it? It has returning enemies (most are old school enemies anyway) a few bosses that return, but the majority are brand new, the dungeons, traps, puzzles, characters, “Dark World (Lowrule)” and items are all different. It’s in the same vein as Link to the Past, but it’s not a remastered version. You don’t have to play it for yourself to see how very different the game is.
This wouldn’t have gotten a 10/10 if it was simply Link to the Past with updated graphics and a 3D models/stereoscopic effects.
I know it’s not a remastered Link to the Past, and I have read some stuff about it. But for some reason, I’m not hyped up. :(

IGN will probably let Keza review it after she failed to finished the first dongeon and give this game 7.5 ou of 10 because its too hard.

I remember when you all were hating on this game when it was first announced and I was defending it saying it was going to be a great game. How does all that crow taste?
I was watching one of IGN’s Up at Noon shows (dangerous as it may be), and Greg Miller actually touched a very good point.
People always say “Nintendo only makes Mario rehashes,” but they’re missing something. Is Super Mario World anything like Super Mario 64? No. Is Super Mario 64 anything like Super Mario Sunshine? Nu-uh. Is Super Mario Sunshine anything like Super Mario Galaxy? Goodness, NO.
Other companies make sequels to franchises with little to no changes, they get praised for it.
Nintendo does the same thing, but actually mixes it up a bit, it’s like a sin or something.
