There was a rumour floating around the internet that Minecraft will be coming to Wii U. This news has been shot down by Minecraft creator Markus “Notch” Persson who told fans on Twitter that the hit game won’t be coming to Nintendo platforms. He says that a Wii U version of Minecraft would make sense, but he just has too much work on at the moment. Minecraft will be coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in the summer.
“I am not aware of any plans to release a Wii U version of Minecraft. I agree a Wii U version would make sense, btw. The only reason for no current plans is we’ve got too much work already. I <3 Nintendo.”

As P!nk said the gamepad features are the reason why I would try out Minecraft to begin with, and I prefer to relax on a sofa while building stuff. Instead of sitting straight forward playing on the pc.

Just because it is in Java doesn’t mean it’s easily portable to other platforms.
The virtual machine itself has to be ported over and translate all the Java bytecode calls into machine code in order to run it.
And then, there’s speed.
Those are the reasons that Notch/Jeb (depending on who you see as leading the Minecraft project) recoded the game in C++ for non-PC platforms. (Yes, even Android, which, while it uses Java as its main language, uses the Dalvik virtual machine, not the Java Virtual Machine. They’re completely different from each other.)

Rareware is also owned by Microsoft as well as the Banjo-Kazooie IP.

Rare can make games for Nintendo handhelds, just not consoles. They made a Banjo Kazooie game for the GameBoy Advance while they were owned by Microsoft. Google search “Banjo Kazooie: Grunty’s Revenge” if you don’t believe me. Rare also made a racing game starring Banjo characters for the GBA. It’s called Banjo Pilot. So, yes, a new Banjo Kazooie game for the 3DS is a definite possibility.

Did you guys see the new classic Battlefield stage for Super Smash Wii U yet? Whar a facelift.
Makes sense really, they’re already making the PS4, Vita and Xbone versions, and they are presumably going to be the same as the current console versions (plus more features for PS4 and Xbone and simple touchscreen controls for Vita). The Wii U version is going to need full integration with the gamepad, plus presumably a traditional control scheme. Plus the constant PC updates, they have to draw the line of what they can do at once somewhere.
