The European eShop has a tasty offer for Mario Kart fans this week with Super Mario Kart’s arrival on the Wii U virtual console. If you’re in the mood for some classic Karting SNES action and purchase the game for the VC, priced at £5.49 / €7.99, you’ll qualify for a special discount on Mario Kart 8 when it releases for the Wii U eShop.
From May 30 until June 30, 2014, only, you will be able to save £5.49 / €7.99 on Mario Kart 8 if you buy Super Mario Kart at any time before buying Mario Kart 8 from the Nintendo eShop. The discount is only offered if Super Mario Kart is bought first and between March 27 and June 30, 2014. Purchases of Super Mario Kart that are made taking advantage of the special Virtual Console loyalty offer also qualify. Both titles must be bought from Nintendo eShop on the same Wii U.
From Thursday, the Euro eShop also brings two brilliant minds in one game with the arrival of Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. Plus, other temporary discounts are detailed for both Wii U and 3DS below.
