Indie Game Stealth Inc 2 Revealed As Wii U Exclusive

Curve Studios has announced that the follow-up to the cult 2D infiltration game will be exclusive to the Wii U eShop. Stealth Inc 2 will be self published and will appear on the console sometime this year. Curve Studios says that there isn’t much competition on the Wii U eShop so they felt that bringing it to the platform would be a good opportunity. Curve Studios has worked with Nintendo before on Fluidity and its Nintendo 3DS spin-off, Spin Cycle.

“There isn’t much competition on Nintendo’s store, so we thought that commercially it’s a really good opportunity for us. Nintendo has sold a few million Wii Us too, so the audience is there. We want to see what the market is like. We want to test it.”

“These people know how to make games They know about the time that’s needed. There’s a really old school pressure on delivery. It’s all about the game, it’s all about the build.”

Thanks, kjebb

    1. im a nintendo fanboy to,
but what you say is bullshit.
one of the best console ever ist the first ps3, who plays ps1/2/3 games.

    2. In terms of sheer size of the library, the percentage of quality, and variety combined, the Playstation 2 beats all other consoles post NES.

    1. I am feeling the same way. It is things like their E3 announcement, yesterday’s Mario Kart promo and latest news on the upcoming games like the Fatal Frame V exclusive or this one; that makes me see that Nintendo is getting ready to strike back.

And we are just starting to receive the games already scheduled for this year!! I recommend Child Of Light btw, it is really good.

    1. I think it might depend on its success with us. They seemed to be committed with the idea of offering gamepad unique experiences. If it sells decently we might get more games from them on Wii U, if not then it would be logical to also try elsewhere.

    1. Actually, a lot of people like indie games.
So you’d much rather have the same game over and over again with no change what so ever… *cough* Battlefield 4 *cough*

      1. No, but i wanna have a tripple a story telling game for the U.
star fox, f-zero, eternal darkness, ice climber, sadness ;-) Geist etc.
        or something new.
        an adult game…
i have enough from this mini games stuff.

        1. I feel the opposite way. When games are concerned, I usually want to spend more money & time on gameplay than graphics & story. As long as it’s fun (which means physical controls of some sort), & polished, then I’m happy. However, as far as mobile “gaming” is concerned, I agree (I basically only play chess, 42, & sudoku on my phone, & rarely @ that).

Now, I do like stories in gaming, if it strings everything together, but I get annoyed when my controller is idle for too long, & downright angry when my momentum is broken. I wish more “AAA” games would incorporate stories like in the Metroid Prime trilogy. But I do enjoy games like Hotel Dusk & Last Window, & the Ace Attorney series. Killer7 had a stupid-cool story & great cut-scenes, too. Ultimately, though, I rely & prefer books, film, & TV (more observational entertainment) to provide deeper stories.

For me, “AAA” games are less & less about gaming, & more & more about hardcore audiovisuals, stories, & quick-time events. I got into this hobby (Atari & original Game Boy) to mostly play…games, digital dolls & interactive, digital dioramas. Indies, Nintendo, & even Ubisoft (this gen. w/ ZombiU, Rayman Legends, Child of Light…), still make games for gaming’s sake. Hel, Ubisoft is even mimicking the indie approach w/ Child of Light, & I hope the next Prince of Persia will receive the same approach (not just via the UbiArt Framework). I certainly wish other devs would return to their roots & make gameplay the #1 priority again.

      1. nope, bud child of light i will play.
this is looking awesome and i like the voice of mom.
its true there are some good indie games (or small games) outhere.
limbo, journey and ehm whats name from the creator of the maniac manson game…
but because there are a few good games out, it dosent mean indie games are good.
how many games are in the app store. 80% is s..t

  1. Hydroventure (or Fluidity in America) is probably my favourite game on WiiWare. If anyone here hasn’t got it, I’d highly recommend it. Think of it like a 2D Mario 64/Metroidvania kind of game but with the novelty of controlling water rather than a specific character. I hope this new game lives up to that one.
