Popular Youtube channel GameXplain has posted a compilation of six of the Battle Mode tracks that can be found in the upcoming Mario Kart 8. The compilation of footage was taken from the official Mario Kart 8 site. Mario Kart 8 launches on Wii U, May 30th.

I could have sworn I saw an arena like stage similar to the Funky Kong arena in Mario Kart Wii. But, I’ll have to check my sources, though I find these tracks to be interesting and different from past battle modes. Double Dash will always be my favorite though!
Agreed! But some from both worlds would not hurt, a little new along with the classic is usually the best mix.

I don’t really enjoy the battling compared to the racing. I’ll probably prefer these style of battle tracks but more open ones would probably be good for people who are fans of the battle mode in Mario Kart as well
A dumb question, but can you play balloon battle online with max 12 players of just 4?? Otherwise the tracks would be empty as hell :(

I’m liking what I see so far of MK8’s Battle Mode. Seems to go back to the Mario Kart 64 style with bots and anti-gravity twists. Interesting to play on modified versions of tracks. But I hope there are some Battle Mode specific arenas too
