Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker Has Been Delayed Till 2015 In Europe

Nintendo Europe has confirmed that the adorable Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker has been delayed until January 2015 in Europe. The game is still scheduled to launch elsewhere this winter. Nintendo Europe have yet to explain why they’ve delayed Toad’s adventure.

Thanks, Nintendo Commander Quadraxis and Fbt

        1. Net sales dropped by 8.4% over the exact same period last year. What was it about the Wii U catching up to the PS4 in sales? Bullshit

            1. In the last UK sales charts, the top sellers were a sandbox game, a life simulation game, an action-adventure game, a shooter, a racer, and only ONE sport game. Your point fails

        2. Yeah it delayed in europe, but not america, so thereore lack of budget… Great logic, and I’m pretty sure that if the EU version is being delayed and not the US version, I’m pretty sure its because of localization shafting (I.E translations for all languages)

  1. Meh, we’re getting Bayonetta 2 and Smash Bros U this year so yeah it doesn’t matter. Waiting is better than having it straight away

      1. Someone’s a little damage controlling today ;3
You do know that people can change their opinions over time. Seriously, you trolls really need to get laid.

      2. Big difference between delaying a multiplatform port for a Nintendo console & delaying a game that is exclusive to the console. So yes! We are more than allowed to criticize Ubigreed for delays while giving Nintendo a pass on the matter.

        1. Actually it does matter. I was looking foward to playing this holiday and this is absolute BS. WTF NINTENDO?!

            1. It still doesn’t matter. There is no Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker for the PS4 coming a month or so in advance with better graphics & shit to ruin the sales of it on the Wii U.

              1. It’s still not going to sell that well because it’s going to get overlooked by Smash Bros and Bayonetta 2.

                  1. So if Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is good, it will still sell whether it’s being overshadowed by other games or not.

  2. I can never understand the delay between US and EU. If Pokemon X/Y can do it why not others?

And there goes another game in your “huge” 2014 Nintendo releases EU fanboys

    1. Still better than Sony’s 3 mediocre games…. seriously, even Microsoft has a better line up this year than Sony.

      1. You’re kidding right? Please tell me you are. I can name more than 10 coming out on PS4 without even searching

And I like how you evaded my point that Nintendo has a weak lineup for 2014 :)

  3. Hopefully this doesn’t go the way of Devilish Training and Scribblenauts Unmasked and straight up don’t get released here…

  4. If I was to hazard a guess its because gamers in the UK at least (not sure about the rest of Europe) are mainly casuals who will buy Fifa, COD and absolutely nothing else. From Nintendo’s point of view it might be better to push Smash in those territories then push Smash and Captain Toad as well (which will obviously be overshadowed by Smash).

  6. I don’t understand why Europe gets stuff so much later than the US. I mean, both places speak friggin’ English so it should be effortless to localize it. I suppose maybe there’s some things that aren’t acceptable there (such as how City Folk had to be changed to Let’s Go To The City) but I really don’t see why they get delays so much.
