Kirby And The Rainbow Curse Gameplay Demo From IGN

Online gaming publication IGN managed to get some hands-on time with Kirby and the Rainbow Curse for Wii U at this year’s Gamescom event. The video showcases the game’s unique art style and is played using the touchscreen on the Wii U GamePad. Kirby and the Rainbow Curse is due out on the Wii U next year.

  1. Kirby Triple Deluxe is the most amazing game I’ve played on my 3DS thus far. This looks cool, but I wish they’d have went for the traditional gameplay. We’ll probably see an actual game in the series on Wii U eventually. ..

    1. bitch please, everyone knows real kirby is in adventure and superstar.

Also this is way more original and fresh than traditional kirby, which i don’t even find that good anymore.

        1. Tripple deluxe is supposed to be one of the weaker links i hear, my brother even told me that. He said it was way to easy and kinda generic or something.

          You haven’t played superstar yet?

            1. HAHA yeah i actually do but it was this video.

I remember saying how there is video proof you are just an evil robot just trying to end the world and we must kill you before you try to do it again. That your that robot turning against nintendo or something lmao.

          1. Umm, all Kirby games are easy and generic, that’s what the series was made for, he probably just older and realizing this now

          2. Return to Dreamland for Wii is the weakest and Triple Deluxe builds off of the Wii game. It’s so much better but it still has some of Return in it. Great Kirby game but not the best.

              1. Well yeah, but for someone like you who haven’t played a lot of Kirby; Triple Deluxe is perfect for you. It’s a well rounded Kirby game. The only thing that sets me back is that it resembles the Wii game a little too much. Other than that, it’s an all around great Kirby game.

    2. Nintendo should have moved Return to dreamland from Wii to Wii U for launch window just like Pikmin 3 and same goes for Mario Party 9 which all of them released in the same year. XP Porting those other two games over to Wii U would’ve benefit the launch windiw reception and helped the Wii U sales improve.

        1. And here he comes, charging in after all the conversations are over to puke in his negative 2 cents when everyone has already gone home.

              1. You fell right into my trap. LMAO. When I got Mario Party 2, I didn’t even have Assassin’s Creed 3. And had been a long time since I played the first, so I wasn’t even thinking about it. Sooooo… yeah. You failed. XD

                  1. Anyways, I’m getting Mario Party 10. 2 is really fun. It is the only Mario Party I’ve played and it makes me want to play more. So MP10 is a definite buy.

  2. I was hoping for a cool kirby wii u game with original ideas, but with this game, you have to look at the gamepad at all times because you have to draw on the gamepad! You don’t need your tv at all to play the game so it should have been a 3ds game in my opinion…

      1. I agree. Kirby Triple Deluxe on the Wii U in HD would have been awesome. But this game doesn’t look to bad. So I’m willing to give it chance.

        1. are we really going to complain about getting a new kirby game? Besides I have yet to play a bad AAA title on the wii u. I’m sure it will be good. I like the idea of incorperating the game pad in more games, thats why its there.

          1. This isn’t really a Kirby game… But it’s nice to see new stuff I suppose. I wonder what this one is going to be about.

            1. Yes, this is a Kirby game. Nintendo has traditionally played with Kirby’s mechanics. Look up Canvas Curse and you’ll realize that this game is basically it’s sequel. I enjoyed Triple Deluxe but it was a lot like Return to Dreamland for the Wii and that one was pretty soulless… Deluxe is what Return should have been, so it was a lot better but I couldn’t help feel like I was treading through Return again. Either way, I did enjoy Deluxe a lot but my all time favorite is Super Star! Hollow, you should really check it out on the Virtual Console.

  3. but wiiu only has 3 cores says the ps4 fan with no insight into computer design what so ever RETARDED FUCKHEADS

ps4 cpu memory comunication 200NS LATENCY ADD A HUGE BOTTLENECK OF NO MULTI THREAD RENDERING AS PC X86 DESIGNS DOESNT ALLOW FOR MULTI THREAD RENDETING FROM CPU TO GPU DX11 12 ARE USLESS AT IT AS IS X86 CPUS

wiiu fully supports scaling multi thread rendering across 3 cores at full speed plus 4 x data compression

even project cars devs admitted 4 cores on ps4 were struggling to do multi thread rendering yet wiiu was running it on one core

ps4 fans are retarded as fuck x86 low end cores accessing slow cumbersome ram and no data compression and poor multi core gpu draw calling is supposed to be powerful

3 cores THAT ARE SUPERIOR IN EVERY WAY TO PS4S DESIGN THATS WHY RETARDS

3 CORES ALL DOING THOUSANDS OF DRAW CALLS TO GPU WITH 4 TO 1 DATA COMPRESSION

I BET WIIU CAN DRAW CALL TO GPU FROM ONE CORE BETTER THAN PS4 FROM 4 CORES DUE TO THIS SUPPERIOR DESIGN

    1. I doubt it, I have only seen a handful of major first party series being eshop only. This will be a full fledged $60 title like everything else, this gameplay is only the beginning.

  4. The babies and Nintendolls with their diapers must be very happy about this baby shovelware android smartphone wannabe game lol

  6. I’ll probably rent this next year, but I really didn’t think Canvas Curse was good enough for a rehash like this. I think the idea of a clay Kirby is phenomenal (or hell, even a clay game in general) but they’re wasting it by making it just an art style. I wish this were a more traditional Kirby, and the gimmick was that you copy enemies by mixing with them (you know, since it’s clay).
