Ace Combat 3D: Cross Rumble + Due For Japanese Release In January

Bandai Namco are set to release an enhanced version of the action 3DS game Ace Combat 3D: Cross Rumble. Announced in this week’s Famitsu magazine, Ace Combat 3D: Cross Rumble + will see some new features added to the main game – which was originally released in 2012 for Japan – including a Mario motif aircraft, along with a few other Nintendo character collaborations.

Western gamers are more likely to know the 3DS game as Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy – a remake of the 1997 PlayStation-exclusive Ace Combat 2. Translations suggest that the enhanced version will release for the New Nintendo 3DS, giving the complete Ace Combat experience with the device’s improved stereoscopic 3D. Japanese gamers can expect Ace Combat 3D: Cross Rumble + to arrive on January 29, priced at 4,740 Yen.

I dunno, It makes me kinda nostalgic. Arcadia is where my parents grew up. I was raised pretty close to a NES military base when I was six in 1996, and is where much of my training came from. I only visited Arcadia 3 or 4 times. Many of the cities are now abandoned. Since home-bases are more convenient. The gameplay reminds me of my visits to that city, I think I’ll give it a try.

Every new console needs it’s exclusives. Though.. the DSi Shop only had a few worth playing. DSi Shop… I feel nasty when I say it. I cant imagine how I survived before the Nintendo eShop was introduced. Everybody learns I guess.
