Amiibo Figures In Short Supply At Amazon UK and GAME And Price Has Been Hiked

I’ve received a number of emails from Nintendo fans in the United Kingdom stating that the Amiibo figures are in short supply. UK retailer GAME has them in stock but they’ve hiked up the prices. Amazon UK also have them in stock, but the majority of them are being sold through sellers so they’ve seen a price hike too. Whether Nintendo underestimated demand or alternatively they’ve proved extremely popular is hard to determine.

Thanks to everyone for sending this in.

      1. Nintendo is My Blood Reborn

Actually all in the first wave and the second is paid for but I’ll have to wait till the 16th.
As for the price it equates to approximately R2104

            Keeping them in boxed condition

I’ll consider buying one or two for actual use.
If you mean the condition, they are actually very nice, despite what people say of their supposed lower quality
Particularly Samus, Fox, Mario and to a lesser extent Kirby, Pikachu and Villager

            1. I have bought them all as well. Ive got all mine out of the box. I will buy some to keep in the box as well though. It will only be the rare ones, and the defects that will be worth money though.

Fox and Marth seem to be the ones that are hard to find. At least that is what I have noticed.

      1. I hear amiibo add more features on gamz and staff, but can it add more power so WiiU more power then Ps4? Iwant Nintendo win.

Nintendo does not need to prove anything.

So take your troll ass and scurry back home to your parents basement before you make a fool of yourself.

          1. I nver siad anything about Nintendo porve anything, you keep attacking me for asking questions that i dont have answers. I hear one fan talk WiiU have secretz power that Ubisoft cant use right, wanna know iz there truth.

I want Nintendo win ps4, because ps4 has no Mario.

P.S is nintendo really Ur blood?

        2. No, nothing can add more power to the Wii U. All of your “iz friends” lied to you, if you are being serious. Amiibo is just a special figure that is able to add extra content to certain games by unlocking what is already on the system. No power added… So please do not waste your time commenting ever further, but rather, go play some actual games… It’s good for you…

  1. Really? US stores has plenty of Wave 1 Amiibo’s last I checked in several to a dozen stores. This is just UK not giving a fuck about Nintendo and its remaining fans (if there is any) lol

    1. Im fan of Nintneo, gonna buy amiibo, it may unleash the power on WiiU so it more power than Ps4, peole that talk about.

  2. Is it just me or is it little bit pathetic when grown adults buy these toys? I dont have anything against these amiibo´s but i just see them as kids toys. These products just take Nintendo´s already kiddy image even further, just my opinion no need to get worked up about it.

    1. I think it’s more pathetic to be worried about age when it comes to having fun. Fun is ageless, and our time on this planet is very limited. Might as well enjoy your life, and surround yourself with the things that make you happy, no matter what they are. Never let someone tell you that you are to old to be happy.

  3. I live in the UK and I’ve personally seen the stock shortages. Living in Southampton which is a large city and has plenty of shops around. I could only get hold of a Link amiibo and a Pickachu (I’m sure I’ve spelt that wrong) one. I got them both in separate shops. Link was the more pricy of the two.

  4. My stuff has been delayed amazon told me. My villager and Kirby amiibo are going to come, apparently, in near the end of December (I had these things pre-ordered).

Just glad I keep the original £10 for them. I’ve seen those listings as almost triple the price now. Hope Nintendo hurry up and make those Amiibo cards :D

  5. Was = £11.99

    Now = £14.99

Damn… Amiibos are flying off the shelves everywhere… I managed to snag Marth and Yoshi which are the biggest sellers at my Local GAME store.

  6. It seems Nintendo underestimated the demand of pretty much every product they’ve released this fall/winter. Even “Bayonetta 2” was hard to find, despite a relatively underwhelming performance.
