Toki 2 isn't going to happen for 3DS guys. We had enough work on our hands getting it to run on Wii U at 60fps. :)

Two Tribes has confirmed that it doesn’t plan to bring Toki Tori 2 to Nintendo 3DS. The game was released in 2013 for Wii U via the Nintendo eShop. It stars a yellow flightless bird that can whistle and stomp to influence and make use of other creatures’ unique abilities. The Wii U GamePad can be used as an in-game camera and snap photos of creatures. Toki Tori 2 was recently on sale in the Wii U eShop.

But wouldn’t it be easier for a studio facing (or having recently faced) financial difficulty to port an existing game to a console of a large install base than to solely work on a project from scratch?
Yah, but not when your porting a console game to a handheld, the people who made borderlands 2 know this too well, you end up spending more on the port than just making a new game
I always meant to get this but never got around to it.

I highly recommend Toki Tori 2 to anyone and everyone for the Wii U. It’s regularly on sale and for €3 it’s an absolute bargain and a brilliant game.
Every time I see this title, I think of the NES game, Toki.
