Satoru Iwata Is Ill At the Moment With Suspected Influenza So All Meetings Are Cancelled

We all get poorly from time to time and Nintendo president Satoru Iwata is no exception. Mr Iwata is apparently suffering from a fever and suspected influenza so all of his meetings are currently cancelled. I suspect this is the investors meetings, which will probably have to be rescheduled. Let’s all wish Satoru Iwata a speedy recovery.

Thanks, Felipo D

  1. Thank you everybody for all your wonderful messages. It means a lot to know people care for my well being.
And because you’ve all been good boys and girls, I’m going to give you private information on what’s coming up at Nintendo.
The next Nintendo Direct is March 11th. That is when we will show off the Wii Z, formerly called QOL
We are making Zelda Maker, but. that will be revealed in Q4
There are no upcoming Wario games in the future, due to the poor sales of Game and Wario.
We are in talks with TV Tokyo for a Legend of Zelda anime, as well as a CGI Pikmin TV Show.
The next amiibo series will be a Chibi line of Nintendo characters, from Zelda and Pokemon and even obscure titles like Pushmo and Tingle.
The company is very split on whether we should add Virtual Boy games for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U virtual console.

  2. I’m not sure why this is broadcast all over the Internet…

Surely there’d be a way to inform said investors more directly than through twitter… why does everyone else have to know about this? Those are his private affairs after all.

  3. Ouch, the flu on top of his condition as it is. Hope he gets better, the flu sucks. I haven’t been sick in 7 years and I don’t miss it.

  4. I think he dues good for the company but they need some fresh blood to hold onto the rains, he should work to put a new CEO in charge and he should then move to a quality assurance position, Miyamoto should then focus on just new projects through new tablet and be in a mentor position. Aonoma should then (with Sakurai) should move to hardware and come up with ideas also out side of just making games, but other products like amiibo, toys, apps, movies, shows, and other ways to bring attention to Nintendo ip, and only focus on games they feel are right to stretch those limits. Reggie needs to be the new head of third party control and work to add better support and listen to their requests.

  5. Ok the man is old he is a good Nintendo president but I think it’s time to step down and pass the torch to someone else we can all agree he doesn’t have immediately looking at you commander this guy had his time in the spot light but now its time for someone to take his place he needs a vacation and I do respect him but people get old he won’t be around for ever and neither will we he did a lot of good things for Nintendo but now I think he should step down and let someone younger to take over as president of Nintendo I hope that makes sense to some of you
