Pokemon Shuffle landed on the 3DS eShop for both North America and Europe last week but stumbled into a hiccup during launch. Fortunately, players who downloaded the game and were unable to create extra data by “checking-in” can now do so and will be rewarded with a bonus jewel as an apology from the eShop team. And given jewels are particularly hard to come by during the game, unless paid for via a micro-transaction, make sure you spend your freebie wisely.
Additionally, Pokemon Shuffle has begun its series of daily events and special challenges. From now until March 9, players can catch a rare Mew and battle it in the special challenges mode to add it to their team. Players can also fill up their coin pouch with Meowth’s Coin Mania challenge from Saturday to Monday until March 16, but will only be able to play once per 24-hour period. And finally, Pokemon Shuffle is offering up a special Rotom daily challenge, where you’ll be able to catch either Frost Rotom, Heat Rotom, Wash Rotom, Mow Rotom, and Fan Rotom on different days with unlimited play until March 21. Are you enjoying the Candy Crush stylised game? Let us know in the comments below.

Can you being it to your Pokemon Bank and then to Pokemon Game when you get the Mew?

SSF can you just delet these kinds of off topic comments? There literally just here to start flame wars…
The topic of micro-transactions is a sore point for many, but it has been deleted at your request. We do, however, encourage healthy debate instead.
What was the problem Ambassador?…
Cares no one!
Completely agree. Really fun game, but I hate you can only play a limited amount of plays because you only have 5 hearts. And I paid $1.12 for 5 more hears and that only refills, it doesn’t give you 10 permanently. I also wish it let you use your 3DS coins to refill or pay for hearts since it’s such a limited play experience.
I have really enjoyed the game. I haven’t spent any money on it. I like to play a few rounds when I boot up the system before I play another game, or when I have a few minutes spare around campus. It is a great little game that does exactly what it is trying to do, and it is good fun for folks who want to spend money and folks who don’t.
In my eyes it completely fails because of the microtransactions. The play model is a total turn off, it doesn’t encourage you to spend money either. It makes me not even want to waste my time playing it.
By the time you really get into the game and are having fun. You’ll realize it’s over, and you have to wait a couple more hours just to play it again a few more times.
This is the way that it needs to be played. It is not a game that you sit down and try to complete it. I do the same as you, just play some, before booting up another game when I’m out of lives.
I wanna play it but I haven’t yet ’cause my XL is still broken.
Meh, not worth the time really unless you plan on spending a bunch of money on the game. At least with the others, you can pay a set amount of money to get access to everything in the game, but this is different. This is straight up microtransactions.
As usual with Nintendo’s free-to-play games, they’re extremely limiting. This is probably by far the worst of them though, since it limits how many times you can even play the game. Which is measly 5 times.
You only get 1 heart every 30 minutes. You can only accumulate up to 5 this way.
I thought nintendo fans said nintendo doesn’t release buggy games
They don’t though sometimes they sneak through the cracks at least most of them aren’t game breaking.
Same here. This is the next candy crush saga…
The only real glitches in well designed games are exploits like this. They don’t break the game, but they allow you to cheat in some items or something… Like the max rupee glitch in Hyrule Warriors…
Nintendo didn’t make this game. The Pokemon Company did you bafoon. Nintendo has almost no say in what TPC does.
Sigh. Nintendo and their free-to-play model isn’t doing justice for anyone. Not like I didn’t see it coming from a mile away. I was really hoping this would be different at least, but it seems the worst so far in terms of microtransactions with Nintendo’s free-to-play games.
Such a shame because I actually enjoy playing this every now and then between games, but the entire heart system completely ruins the game. You’ll be lucky to even get 10 minutes of play time out of this before your hearts run out.
I’d gladly even pay a set fee just to be able to enjoy the game without limits. Paying for play time though, is a no go for me. You’ll end up spending more money on this game than it would ever be wort, just to be able to play it for longer than a couple minutes.
This type of free-to-play model is crap.
Completely agree, I’d rather be charged a single fee od 2.99 instead of wasting hundreds for a few shots at a candy crush clone.
I’m actually really enjoying this game. I play it in between classes where I only have about 10 minutes of free time anyway. To me, it’s the perfect way to kill a few minutes before I become busy with something else again. I find it really addicting!
I’m not sure how their model is working out though because I have gotten to the 78th stage and felt no need to spend money. Maybe there will be more difficult Pokemon later on that almost require better pokeballs?
tl;dr: It’s a great game for playing in short bursts. Try it out if you need something like that in your life.
Its called arcade style
I find it lame that the Pokemon don’t evolve.
I enjoy playing all 5 hearts then close the game until it fills up again. Check in everyday to earn 500coins to purchase items like extra 5 turns.
I do however think this works best as a mobile game if Nintendo really wanted to bring some IPs to smartphones and tablets.
I really like the game but mega mawile it’s so hard U_U
people play this shity game
