We are all excited to see more about Project Ukulele. The game is the spiritual successor to Banjo Kazooie from a bunch of ex-Rare developers. We heard some more details about the game today and that players can soon back the title on Kickstarter. What we didn’t know is the grand plans that Playtonic have with this lucrative game. The developers say they think of it kinda like the Marvel universe with every character having the possibility of featuring in their own games spanning different genres. Playtonic says some of the characters may be good or bad guys dependant on that context. Obviously this all depends on how successful the first game is. Platforms are still to be decided for Project Ukulele, but Wii U seems extremely likely based on what the developers have said about the platform.
Thanks, Alex M

Oooookey. I’m excited for this project, 100%. But this is selling it too much, we don’t even know how the characters will look like and they’re already saying this.
I’ll keep my skeptical glasses on until I see some more info and gameplay.
Yah, the level design and concept ,so far, look promising, but I need new info.
For me, they look like Sonic Boom first screenshots.
LOL
Am I wrong? :D
No I just thought it was funny XD
LOL
But don’t they look terribly similar? :o
Yeah they actually do surprisingly
0.0
Saying that again: Am I wrong? :D
Yea I agree. They don’t need to be talking about a franchise, or a universe of characters before they even make their first game. They need to focus on this game and this game alone. That is how franchises are built. They are never planned, they just happen because of the success of the first game..
To me they sound dangerously optimistic..
Let’s let them know we want it only on the Wii U they do listen to the people who talk to them
hey guys apparently the game is gonna use xbox kinect. check your twitter and see if anybody is saying #LolKinect
that was for a banjo game
ohhhhh. i thought they were talking about this game… so apparently microsoft is making a new banjo game with kinect right? and they showed it off today right?
No it was a demo.
Yeah I found out XD
No that banjo game was only a demo
Thanks! I found out that it was after I posted the comment XD
Building a franchise around an unreleased game… It was a terrible decision when Square did it and I doubt this will fare any better.
I think it’s good to dream big. I wish them success and I’ll definitely contribute to their Kickstarter. I’m just happy we’re getting a spiritual successor to BK after all this time. The 3D collectathon genre has been MIA far too long.
Did you back Lobodestroyo?
I didn’t but I did back A Hat in Time.
I played some Banjo Kazooie back in Texas Children’s Hospital when I still had Leukemia. Pretty fun game except I had no idea what I was doing.
Anyway this game looks VERY promising!!
Oh, man, good to know now you are 100% recovered.
Thanks! When I was diagnosed with it and I we found out I had it, I was like 5 or 6. Now I’m 16 and happy!
Thanks God! Keep it up, man!
Hey guys and girls! Would love for you all to check out my own Nintendo music karaoke video for you all to sing along and share of course! :D It’s a bit of a laugh so don’t take it too serious of course! :D
I just want another expertly made collectathon, like DK64 and Banjo Kazooie/Tooie. Whatever this game ends up being, I’m happy it’s happening.
This is awesome!
This is exactly the same fundamental that Rare had back in the day. They made Diddy Kong Racing the center of their universe then they created worlds for Banjo-Kazooie, Conker, and others were planned as well before they were sold.
I’m more excited about this announcement than any thus so far. The true spirit of Rare is back!!! :)
I want to see this game in action already!
I think this might be the first time I will back something on kickstarter. :O REally excited for this game!
Did anyone else see that Banjo Kazooie Kinect thing?
I hope it does get the physical release, it would be awesome
