Nintendo President Says Netflix Zelda TV Rumours Are Inaccurate

The internet was abuzz with chatter when we heard that Netflix were apparently teaming up with Nintendo to produce a Legend of Zelda television show for the popular streaming service. Nintendo president Satoru Iwata says that the rumours are inaccurate and says he can confirm that the article is not based upon correct information. I guess we shall have to wait and see.

“As of now, I have nothing new to share with you in regard to the use of our IPs for any TV shows or films, but I can at least confirm that the article in question is not based on correct information,” says Iwata.

  1. In first place, who wanted a live action Zelda series?

Have you guys forgotten about the live action Mario and Luigi series back in the 90’s?

    That was pure lame.

  2. It’s annoying I see this news all over the place saying the Zelda series is confirmed because news sources love to have bait click articles. I read the articles and I don’t see the word “rumor” in any of them. I’m just now figuring out it’s a rumor and now unconfirmed? My internet game is weak right now.

  3. When they start speaking in Zelda games then you can consider a tv show possible. I guess that also puts a movie out of the question

  5. You really cannot believe anything on gaming media anymore.

Ign, Gamespot, Polygon, GameExplain, and many more all had articles and videos confirming that there was gonna be a Zelda T.V. show….

I will never believe anything I read on these sites ever again..
