We found out yesterday that the intriguing Mario Maker for Wii U will be coming this September. Nintendo of America has released some screens of the game in action and it looks as though you will be able to create a sequence of levels in Mario Maker. We already know you can share your levels online, but this is a nice addition. Just a few more months to go before we can start creating.

They already showed this in the direct, though.
If they really want to garner interest they will announce that they will be taking the best 50+ levels created by players and releasing them as some sort of fan made Nintendo backed E Shop release. Obviously there needs to be a disclaimer that any levels submitted remain the property of Nintendo but something like this would be awesome. Millions of people with level design ideas that can finally put them to use and maybe we can vote on which ones we think are best. Do it Nintendo!!

In a world of DLC and microtransactions… What is this… free ???
It’s that thing that happens whenever I hop into Mario Kart online without paying a cent to a service to do so.
It also happens whenever I put a Wii game into my Wii U without having to pay a rental fee or be online to make it work.
It’s a shame that more people don’t fully appreciate how good it is.

Hmm… I’m a little interested. Might be getting it after all since I like to be creative on some days plus I get to link a sequence of levels, sweet!

Lets hope that we will be able to play the levels on the 3ds. I doubt they will make a ids version of mario maker, but hopefully a stand alone game that will allow gamers to download and play the user created levels.
