It was a brilliant decision by Nintendo to allow us to vote for the character we would like to see most appear in Super Smash Bros. Nintendo of America clarified yesterday that you are able to vote for any character from any video game franchise and that has got people voting in their droves. Anyone is fair game including Bayonetta, Knuckles and Banjo. Game Informer has listed their favourite choices to appear in Super Smash Bros. Here’s their list.

One of the core mechanics of Captain Toad is that he can’t jump. Since Sakurai loves to add characters in Smash and make them play like the game they’re in (Megaman is an example) he isn’t gonna be put in. Think more you piece of crack
Who says Captain Toad would need to jump? He could be launched by an object, float with balloons, pulled through the air by something, etc. He doesn’t need to “jump” to get off the ground.
Though, it would be REALLY interesting if, as a character, he loses his backpack when he jumps into the air and his movest changes completely, but when landing on the ground, he regains his backpack and his moveset returns.
I could see him being a heavy; powerful character on the ground, but lightweight and weaker in the air. It would be one heck of a niche mechanic for a character to have.

I voted for Chrono and Isaac. This list really has a lot of problems imo. 1. Bayonneta probably won’t be in SSB to maintain the esrb rating maybe 2. Peach already uses Toad, and isn’t unique enough to even be a character. 3. We already have enough Links in SSB imo. These are just my opinions not facts.

As much as I’d love to see additional 3rd party characters I would rather Nintendo focus the Smash Bros. universe more on the Nintendo characters like it was intended during Smash 64.
The majority of other fighter titles usually only add like 1-2 guest characters. Smash 4 already has 3, which IMO is more than enough.
Aside from two or three of those, that’s a pretty terrible list.
