German Newspaper Features Splatoon On Front Cover

splatoon_newspaper

Splatoon is getting quite a lot of hype around it with lots of promotion– like the Splatoon Mess Fest— the latest of which might be quite surprising! Twitter user @pikamoon found that it featured on the front cover of a German newspaper, Ruhr Nachrichten. The headline translates to: “Making the world more colourful” which quite perfectly sums Splatoon up. Looks like Splatoon might end up being a hit all over the world, do you think it will live up to the hype?

You mean like… That thing you put before your username to let others know that you’re associated with a particular group?

I dont play online games very often. To me, a party would consist of the NPC who follow you around. I was only trying to clarify what an online party might be. Or what would even qualify someone who isn’t always online a party member.

    2. This game has no hope living up to the hype. Too much it will be pocked apart. Its the first in the series and it will be missing great online abilities. So far all nintendo games lack online polish.

  1. Heck ya, get your bodies ready to be exploded with ink a bunch until your brains adapt and strategize haha!

am pretty sure this game’s online play count will be a ghost town 6 months after release.

    1. Look at mk8. How many mayches do u join where the computer is filling in spaces so there r 12 people. Mk8 is not even full anymore.

  3. Would you still call it “summing it up perfectly” if you knew that the text actually says the game is for children? lmao.
And for fellow readers who don’t speak German, I gotcha, translated the full thing for you. :)

“Shooters are always brutal? Not entirely true, knows game developer Nintendo and brings out a vivid shooting adventure for children with “Splatoon”, and it’s all about painting the world colourful.
Many highlights will make their way to consoles in May, sunshine all aside.”

    1. The funny thing about that is, I can bet there are more adults interested in this game than children. Almost every child I know, only knows of CoD and Battlefield.

Unless they are at the mindless age, where their parents make and influence every decision for them, then yea, a parent would grab this over more violent games. I don’t see too many children going out of their way to get their parents to buy them this though, over CoD or Battlefield games.

Many children are just followers. So they’ll want to play what their friends are playing, and it won’t be Splatoon, or even a Wii U for that matter. Just like contrary to what people think about Nintendo systems, more adults play them than children anyway.

Someone “found” that it made the front page of a newspaper? I bet a lot of people found it too.

Usually a story is written by someone at a newspaper for it to appear there. Nintendo most likely had nothing to do with this, unless they asked the newspaper to publish the story.

If anything, someone at the newspaper took a liking to the game and decided to publish a story front and center for all to see.

      >>>Maybe apes like you should learn that nazis are not germans, they are abominations just like the islamists and the westboro church>>>

Thank you! Fuck Westboro Baptist Church! As far as I’m concerned, they are not Christians but lunatics and are no better than the Islamic extremists.
