Capcom Wants To Bring Out More HD Remasters

Some people love them, and some people hate them, but there’s no denying there is serious cash to be made from HD remasters. Japanese company Capcom has told IGN that it has plans to bring out more HD remasters for the current generation of video game consoles. Maybe we will see HD remasters of older Monster Hunter titles? Who knows? But it will sure be interesting to find out which Capcom franchises will be getting the HD remaster treatment.

    1. Doubt it’ll happen but stranger things have happened, what with the collection being on the GC. I just doubt it because of their lack of interest in the series.

  1. Nintendo Tetrarch Quadramus-NX

    >>>Because 90% of their empire don’t know how to make games anymore>>>

        >>>Like I’ve said, ever since the Xbots entered the game, the game became crap>>>

        1. There are shitty games regardless of the console. Not that it matters, and I keep asking myself why I even bother try saying things like this, but you’re wasting your time hating something. It doesn’t do you any good being so hateful.

            1. To be fair, nobody really understands much of anything you say because you speak in robot language. Lmao.

        1. Heck yeah. Indies are awesome! Recently I’ve been interested in a lot of smaller indie titles like Contrast, Resogun, Hotline Miami, Guacamelee, etc. And I’m looking forward to other indie games like A Hat in Time and Shantae Half Genie Hero. Indies rule! XD

  2. yea HD reamsters of “Ace Attorney Investigations 1 and 2” yea release Ace Attorney Investigations 2 for 3DS as well as Apollo Justice just for the heck of it.

  3. How about remasters of games that weren’t released within the previous generation. That includes HD Collections, except for Silent Hill. I’d love to see a Silent Hill HD Collection that isn’t fucked to hell. Remasters of the Mega Man Legends series would be nice, probably won’t happen tho.

    1. Btw I know Silent Hill is Konami’s. I was speaking in general about this so called ‘new’ generation with all of its ‘new’ games…

  4. LOL NO MONEY COM… ALMOST BROKE COM….WE FUCKED UP WITH BLOATED BUDGETS AND DLC COM….NO GOOD GAMES ANYMORE COM

    THIS GENERATION WHAT A JOKE

  5. I’m like one of the biggsest fans of MH in Norway (Awwwww yeeehhhh), but a HD Remaster of MH? What’s the point? No story, same gameplay- just simpler and less deep, less Monsters, and the maps would be a lot lile the New ones. It’s like wanting a HD Remaster for Tetris I guess xD

  6. I for one see ports/HD remasters (Whatever you want to call them) as a good thing for the most part, I know they can have their cons but to me are outweighed by the pros. The main pro being that they are getting onto the newer hardware they are being ported with no risk to the consumer because you have played it before and if you haven’t played it before you know it must be a somewhat good game if it was warranted a port.
So while you wait for all the “next gen” games to slowly roll out, you can be playing a game you know, a game you like and can play well with better graphics and/or frame rate.

    1. I figure what people are really against is when an “HD port” is of a game that came out 1-3 years ago, or at least on the Ps3/360 era. Add on to the fact that games are slowly rolling out. That only contributes to why people aren’t upgrading their [games] all too quickly (or at least letting their last-gen consoles gather dust).

  7. This is the problem with many big companies this gen. No innovation just bringing back stuff that was good for cash grabs. How can the industry progress if your always recycling the same games over and over. There’s no more imagination within large companies anymore(aside from a certain handful that still hold my respect).

    1. exactly and how can gaming progress with the same controller for 4 generations

playstation the culture around it and the industry that built around it has led to FULL RETARD

gaming has a fundermental difference to tv-movies etc INTERACTIVITY

we cannot go forward if the industry is 100% failed movie makers or want to be movie makers QTE AND CUT SCENES IS NOT GAMING trying to say your bullshit games story is DEEPLY PROFOUND is bullshit

gaming has to EVOLVE as a gameplay control experience ANYONE AGAINST THIS FACT IS AGAINST GAMING COUGH COUGH COUGH DUALSHOCK FANS

      1. To generalize that this is a Playstation problem is ignorance, especially given the amount of games (or lack thereof) that are actually full of cutscenes in comparison to other games. Nintendo may not have those games, but that’s because they don’t have any 3rd party games on their system because they don’t give a shit about that anymore, and they’re certainly focused on bringing previous generations of games back – they just go about it in a different way. One could argue that putting so much attention to the virtual console takes away time and focus on developing new games, just as can be argued with other companies that do it with remasters.

        1. The idea that you need a new controller shows just how in the tank you are for Nintendo’s brainwashing, as well. Gamers will be fine with a different controller for a new system as long as it’s not something radically different and forced down our throats like what Nintendo has been trying to do. Give me a regular controller in my hands over some stupid gimmicky bullshit any day. The fact that they still are making their top games compatible with several different controllers shows that they at least acknowledge this, but also that they don’t know how the hell to handle their own system.

    1. Konami won’t fall but it’ll pull out of the Game industry for sure. The other 2 are ticking time bombs. I also don’t think Sega will fall this generation, capcom on the other hand.

  8. SNOW BROS. HD REMASTERED. I freakin’ LOVE Snow Bros.! I’ve been hoping for a return of that game all these years.

  9. Of course they want to make more HD remasters. It’s easy money that takes zero creativity or effort. I’m about sick and tired of lazy developers.
    *grabs a torch*

    1. Given the development costs these days for big titles, it’s not surprising that they want to cover some of their costs with remasters. I feel like it’s starting to reach a saturation point (at least with me, but who knows whether gamers in general are getting sick of it to that degree), but if it helps offset costs for non-remasters, and if people keep up the demand for them, then so be it.

  11. Megaman Legends series please. I’d like to play the sequel and spinoff on a Nintendo console.

  12. Nintendo should work with Capcom to release the MH Remasters to the Wii U before the company decide to put them ONLY on the competition.

You know what will happen next it that succeed…

  13. Mega man legends and all of those random games for the dreamcast like tech romancer and cannon spike. Viewtiful joe and onimusha would be awesome too.
