Splatoon Takes Over Adrenaline Alley Skatepark

To help promote Splatoon in the United Kingdom, Nintendo UK decided to splat Adrenaline Alley in Corby. As you can see from the video posted below, the skatepark was transformed by some talented artists. Adrenaline Alley will also have 4 Wii U pods and copies of Splatoon to get people playing Splatoon over the summer period. The video features one of the UK’s best girl skateboarders Lois Pendlebury, Tom Bailey and Sam Pulley who are part of the Pixels crew and finally Salar Kooshiki who is an up and coming skater. The skate park is to remain transformed for the entire summer, so if you have a chance make sure you get yourself down there.

  1. Dude, that is just awesome… Round of applause for the advertisement Nintendo has done with this game. Now they just need to keep this up with future Wii U titles.

    1. Why not the system itself since its smarter that way? But it’s too late. Now there’s no point to buy one now that there’s the NX coming in 2 short years plus them going mobile is a death warrant of Nintendo.

  2. Nintendo is a parent that won’t stop talking about their child, and Splatoon is the pictures in their wallet.

  3. They should partner with Six flags ATL and do a Splatoon themed waterpark. Imagine if the water was orange, green, or purple. It would be even cooler if Nintendo came out with Splatoon brand paint guns similar to the nerf guns. I’m not an out doorsy person, but I would buy it anyway.

    1. Ridley 4 Smash DLC!

Because of their deal with Universal, a Splatoon themed waterpark is more likely to be made for their theme parks.

I think the majority of people who like it actually skateboard themselves. I don’t do it and I’ve never watched it on television and guess what, I don’t think of it as something I enjoy.

But, I know other people like it.

    1. By also controlling people from playing how they want like voice chat and controller that doesn’t depend on another near-useless controller to play, no custom or longer matches that lasts as long as spark sticks.

        1. You’re right. Because now I hear the game sessions only lasts for 3 minutes…3 fucking minutes? That’s breeze time and it’ll go by quickly. So much for enjoying its multiplayer in full extent.

      1. Yeah, it’s annoying that they still love to control us. Also, You know? You dont have to use the gamepad you can use the pro-controller. If youn meant the wii mote then you can turn the gyro off and just use the pro-controller. They will add custom matches and ranked matches will be longer.

  4. Nintendo have FINALLY marketed a Wii U game right. Makes sense actually, because Splatoon is a new IP, they need to get the brand name out there. Like Mario wasn’t advertised much because Mario is a well known brand.
Good Job Nintendo. I wonder what they will do next…

    1. What they’ll do next is abolish online play even further. After no voice chat, it’s gonna be a lot shorter play sessions like Splatoon’s 3 short minute long plays. Sad. X(

  5. Ridley 4 Smash DLC!

If all of this Splatoon marketing is because of Bowser, this new employee of Nintendo’s will work out for the best. I know some of these games already released before he was hired but hopefully they’ll revive marketing for games like Hyrule Warriors & Bayonetta 2. Those two, technically 3 since Bayonetta 2 comes with Bayonetta, games could really use the marketing that this game is getting.
