Nintendo Japan has announced that the company’s 75th Annual General Meeting of Shareholders will be taking place on June 26th. The meeting will begin at 6pm PDT and 10am JST. No doubt there will be some interesting questions directed at Nintendo employees as per usual and we will undoubtedly learn a little bit more about the games that will be showcased by Nintendo at this month’s E3 event.

My only hope is those shareholder are intelligent enough to retain what make Nintendo, the company we love and appreciate. There are things with Nintendo I disagree with (region lock and stupid marketing) but Nintendo is still the company who say to the rest of the gaming community to F*** off.
To be honest, the industry as a whole including gamers (especially women, fact no fiction) are responsible for the decline of quality/imagination of video games, micro-transaction and the fact games are play on mobile phone (hence why I blame women).
In today society where people are really selfish and too busy (by all account) but want to stay connected to internet in order to have millions of virtual friends. Nintendo tries to offer an alternative which in a way defy the actual rules.
“Gamers” (I use this term loosely) want cheap games with online functionality for free, ultra-realist graphics, voice chat, achievements and an ultra slim, super fast/ultra powerful console. The “gamers” want a console so powerful that it can replace your heater but at the same time expect the Ultra slim console not to overheat.
I think people forget that video game are a form of entertainment and supposed to bring fun. I love movie but I play video game which include a clever mechanism, a good replay value, a good story and relax me when I am stress.
It’s just sad that people are sheep and don’t accept difference options. I am glad with have the like of Sony , Microsoft and Nintendo but I hate those financial analysis (patcher)/3rd party studio/distributor who want everything to be the same, milk the consumer/gamer at every corner and refuse innovation. I hope those shareholder meeting which scare me more and more will have a positive out come for gamers and Nintendo’s fans.
