HAL Laboratory and Nintendo have confirmed the news that some of you may have been waiting for. Yes, Picross 3D 2 is in development for the Nintendo 3DS and will be released in Japan on October 1st. The latest version will include 300 3D puzzles. These puzzles will be based upon various themes including food, animals, buildings and many more. Picross 3D 2 features a number of additional difficulty levels for more experienced players. For those of you who are new to the series there will be optional hints you can turn on. You will also be pleased to learn that there’s amiibo support included so you can scan in the following figures:
- Mario
- Peach
- Luigi
- Yoshi
- Toad
- Bowser
- Link
- Kirby
- Meta Knight
- King DeDeDe
