This week’s sales charts are now in from Japan courtesy of Media Create. It has been a good week for Wii U as hardware sales have doubled on the back of Super Mario Maker which made its debut in the charts at number one. Another new entry this week is Monster Hunter Diary: Poka Poka Airu Village DX for the Nintendo 3DS which arrived at number two. Good to see Super Mario Maker is doing well in Japan, too. With Super Mario Maker this month, Fatal Frame 5 next month, Star Fox Zero in November, & Xenoblade Chronicles X in December, I see the sales of the Wii U will probably stay at a high selling mark for the next 4 months. Let’s hope the game droughts are over with. If not, the Wii U will continue to be mediocre at best for me.
