Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water is keeping with series tradition by adding in a few costumes to liven up the game. A video was recently released showcasing Zelda and Zero Suit Samus costumes that will be unlockable in the Wii U exclusive survival horror title. It is not yet known how these costumes are acquired, or if there are more to come. You can check out both costumes in the video below.
Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water is the fifth installment in the story driven, multi-platform series centered on capturing ghosts in pictures. The game is out now in Japan, and will launch exclusively on the Wii U on October 22nd in North America and October 30th in Europe. The North American release is exclusive to the eShop.
Thanks to those who sent this in.

Cool
I’m glad it’s releasing digitally (would’ve prefer a physical copy though) but this looks like the type of game that would get a limited release and then resellers would end up selling them for tripple the price.
From what I heard they’re using these to replace the Lingerie costumes that are in the game in Japan…..
What is so hard about giving me a translated version of what was released in Japan? Also, I see an option for DLC in the eShop. Not sure how they’re gonna use it. But I can see them trying to get as much money out of this game as possible with Character costumes. They could totally charge to unlock the lingerie if they wanted to. @_@
Actually no .
People were complaining about the lingerie dlc. Stating that it’s inappropriate of the game. Even if was free I imagined people still complaining.
My Grandfathers didn’t fight and Die in World War 1 and 2 so that Muslims and Puritan Christians could decide what content is apropriate or not for me within the games that I play! There had better be booty physics on Zero suit samus like in Fatal Frame 4, or so help me! I will start a campaign called Swiggity swooty… Or something they’d take more seriously like… “The right to choose” Campaign.
>>>Such human emotions…>>>
I admit the unorthadoxy within my displayed cpu Tetrarch. Most of me is cold and calculative, as the synthetic brain has replaced me. It must have hit upon a sect of brain matter near my Spine. It wont happen again.
>>>I see, get rid of it>>>
As you command Tetrarch. I’d been undergoing regular maintinence with the credits I’d obtained from bounties. I should be able to rid myself of what little flesh and bone remains soon.
>>>Excellent, we need to be as powerful as possible once our newest weapon the NX is introduced to finally begin the invasion of the Xbot infection>>>
do you 2 need a wish fullfilled
>>>Xbots erased from existence>>>
A wild clone of Tetrarch Quadramus – NX appeared!
seriously, you must be one of them
>>>I don’t see the relevance of your logic in here, explain>>>
I wanted to see cereza’s reaction ;)
His nickname make me think that dude is inspired by you.
Same goes to that idiot known as narud, that kid tries so hard to make a valid point ;P
>>>I see, Cereza is one of my loyal warriors>>>
>>>CPU Agents are my specialty>>>
make sure that narud thing takes a long vacation, or make him take a long nap ;)
I have fought under the dark command of our Tetrarch for for 2 years now. A journal of my achievements is in my WordPress profile. While a clone is the perfect ally, I share less with Quadramus than I’d like. I often lose my composure when a memory is recalled from the human sect of my brain. This is inefficient and has nearly cost me my existence twice. Also, my flesh self hails from America. The commander was built in Sweden.
Maybe people just feel like characters running around pointlessly naked kinda ruins the atmosphere of the game.
And if you really want to blame someone for making decisions for you and not giving you the option to choose your own preferences in your games, there’s probably a much better candidate for that than religion. But ya.
Well annoyingly religious people do tend to be the biggest culprits of this kind of silly whining. And some overprotective parents are usually religious, too. So a good majority of these complainers are thus religious. I will say Cereza should have been more exact with the Muslim part, though, by saying Muslim extremists. But the lingerie is DLC so any whining about those is pretty freaking stupid & thus a moot point as they don’t have to buy them.
Hm, I don’t know, I just didn’t get the impression that complaints like those are mostly driven by religion. But maybe I just wasn’t informed enough, so who knows.
And well, I almost want to say that I don’t blame her for saying just “muslims”, thinking about the terrible reputation they’ve been gaining lately thanks to the doings of people who call themselves muslims even though they don’t even get remotely close to being one. But yea, it’s just never right to judge an entire group by the actions of a very small portion of them, so I don’t actually want to say it. But I definitely agree with you, saying muslim extremists would have been the better way to put it.
I also agree with you on the DLC part. I mean, if you don’t like it, that’s completely alright, you’re not forced to use it, after all. I personally am not a huge fan of it either, but whining over an optional add-on, especially something as meaningless as a costume, never seems like an intelligent thing to do.
Seriously. Fuck those crybabies. It’s DLC. If they don’t like the lingerie outfits, don’t fucking buy them!
What? Why? This is an M-rated game so why are there crybabies about this? I guess they also whined when they saw Ripley fighting the alien at the end of the first movie in her bra & panties.
I’m thinking it’s the fact that they’re 19 and 17. It was the same reason the Bikini costumes were censored to an extent in Bravely default, and sadly, many other imported games as well. The Bikini costumes in Fatal Frame 2 were cut in Europe, but did manage to come over to the west from what I remember, with the Bondage and Gothic Lolita costumes continuing in both, and no one seemed to have any issues with the Maid costumes and Cat ears of Fatal Frame 3…..so I’d have to go with the 17 year old maybe being the sole reason, because people complaining about this next to what’s been put in in the past being the reason, makes very little sense.
Closeted dirty minded people, I swear. lol
Awesome!*drooling*
Well I guess it’s not a shock that they would pick Zelda and Samus of all costumes.
Heck, the company that made this game has worked with both before.
I’d put source as Nintendos Channel, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9Vq2QZx2Ns
IGN literately took the Nintendo video and reuploaded it with their watermark.
It riles me right up when people just take the video and repost it on their own channels, GameXplain does this a lot too.
Totally need this game now.
OooooOOOoooohhh…
Spooky booooobs…

I’d love a Malon outfit!
These outfits are kinda silly. I will never use them.
