The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes Devs On Purple Link’s Absence

Nintendo of America has posted a Tweet explaining the absence of Purple Link in The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes. The Purple Link was part of the team of four in The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures, but will be “taking a break” from the new release. The developers explained:

“The purple Link from Four Swords Aventures was one of the Link clones created by the power of the Four Sword itself. The three main characters of this game, meanwhile, are “hero candidates” different from Link himself. The idea of controlling a trio worked out well in terms of game design, too, so Purple Link is taking a break from this game”

  1. >>>I don’t care for such useless slave, if I want something purple, I’ll bring my own head>>>

  2. ““hero candidates” different from Link himself.”

Uhhh….didn’t they say that the Green Link was Link from Link Between Worlds yesterday?

        1. I read this article from my email, & it includes NoA’s Splatfest tweet. I actually came to the comment section to see if anyone had mentioned the error. So fret not, for it was there.

  3. xD Nintendo of ‘Murica truly are fucking monkeys throwing their own feces at each other because they are so fucking stupid! “Oh this game fits in the timeline after Link Between Worlds & the green Link is LBW’s Link!” What a load of horseshit to sucker people into buying this wretched game!

    1. >>>If humans buy their games based on such useless information then it’s them who are to blame>>>

      1. Nope. Nintendo is to blame. Nintendo of America for giving out false information & Nintendo of Japan (the big daddy HQ of Nintendo) for letting NoA get away with it. Humans falling for the lies are only a small part of the problem.

    1. To be more specific, Nintendo of ‘Murica would look smarter by keeping their traps shut.

        1. I upset one person by calling NoA “Nintendo of ‘Murica.” Must have thought I was an America hater. lol

    1. I can’t believe I’m doing this but… In Triforce Heroes’ defense, it wouldn’t make sense for one of them to be purple since the Triforce is only composed of three pieces with established colors to represent them {red, blue, green} & the game is called Triforce Heroes.
