Best Buy: 2015 Black Friday Ad

With Black Friday fast approaching we have learnt of the deals that a number of popular retailers in the United States will be rolling out. The latest of which is Best Buy which will be stocking the New Nintendo 3DS XL for $179.99. If you have already got a New Nintendo 3DS XL then you can get Splatoon for the Wii U for $34.99 which isn’t a bad price at all. Here’s the deals that are available.

  1. If you already own a WiiU and 3DS, then the only Nintendo deal that’s worth anything is Splatoon for $34.99. Otherwise, this only benefits Sony and Xbox fans, unfortunately. Especially disappointing that they are offering Dualshock 4’s and XboxOne controllers at a discount, but not the WiiU Pro controller. I don’t really understand why this happens, but somehow Nintendo stuff always gets the worst deals.

  2. Assassin’s Creed Syndicate for $35?! Definitely worth it you guys! If any of you have an XB1 or PS4, I highly recommend it. Phantom Pain also being discounted, I might have to pick that one up. On a more related note, it’s unfortunate to see that the only Nintendo game being discounted is Splatoon, a game that doesn’t really appeal to an older audience.

    1. Why doesn’t it appeal to a older audience is see more older people playing it than younger people playing it

      1. I actually haven’t seen anyone play it to be honest. It has a cartoon look, and its a bunch of squid kids shooting paint at eachother. The only advertisement I’ve seen of it is on the Disney Channel (which I was only on for Star Wars Rebels). It definitely is catered more towards kids, though some adults may find it appealing, true.

        1. So first you say
“a game that doesn’t really appeal to an older audience.”

And then on a later response you say
“The only advertisement I’ve seen of it is on the Disney Channel”

All I have to say is don’t judge others as you can easily be judged on your actions. And if you can’t see past the ‘cartoon look’ to see the appeal, you’re on the wrong platform.

          1. Well, I did mention that I was on that channel for Star Wars Rebels, a show based on 30 year old movies. I wasn’t judging anyone, it is pretty clear though that Nintendo is targetting children and there is nothing wrong with that. They know their audience. I sort of agree with you on being on the wrong platform. I was hoping for an F-Zero, Metroid, or a Zelda with the aesthetics of the tech demo shown before the Wii U’s release but so far Nintendo has not delivered.

        2. Nintendo games are alway’s catered to kid’s and look most of the time cartoony i don’t see why splatoon is different than other Nintendo games

  3. So far there really aren’t any good deals for Nintendo games this year. Our last hopes lie in Kmart (a dying store), Walmart, Toys r Us, and possible Nintendo eShop sales.

  4. In all seriousness at the moment. I’d go with the XBONE right now. The last Tomb Raider game was just incredible, and the benefit of Halo 5..

Its a great month for gamers. Maybe not so much Nintendo fans

  5. black friday is where nintendo lost the battle last year in UK. MS sweep the floor with nintendo. I do believe before black friday last year MS was behind Nintendo in term of hardware and after black friday and christmas Nintendo was way behind MS.

I think it is time for ninendo to put games such as mario wii U, maro kart and other games around £15-£25 and the controller around £10 (just for black friday thou).
