Yacht Club Games have revealed via Twitter that the Shovel Knight amiibo release date will be announced within a week. I know many of you are anxiously awaiting the amiibo so it sounds as though we haven’t got too long to wait to find out a release date. Amazon UK has the release date listed as Friday, December 11th.

The Nintendo UK Store also says it’s out on the 11th of December. I have mine pre-ordered and that’s the dispatch date
Does anyone know if this Shovel Knight amiibo works with the physical copy of Shovel Knight on Wii U? If so, what does it do?
It does, since they’re just the same game on different formats. I don’t know what it does, however.
