Fan favourite Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse which was originally released on both the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U looks as though it is also heading to the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One. The news was spotted via a PEGI rating which just went up. You can check out a trailer for the game, here.

That’s why shantae wasn’t in Smash lol she wasn’t Nintendo only anymore.
Or the team did this after the direct after having fail to win the ballot rather than before. One can say that, there might be small amounts of salt leaking from the team. The least they could do is ask for a Shantae amiibo and not be in vein.

What salt is there to have? Bayonetta won the ballot, and that’s that. That was the whole point of the ballot: to choose at least one character that’s voted the most to become playable in Smash. Shantae didn’t win, obviously, so there’s not much to complain about towards Nintendo.

So why would Shantae have to be? She didn’t make it in, because she didn’t win the Smash ballot and/or, because Sakurai’s team did not think to put her in or didn’t think she would make a good enough/unique character for the current game.

This was my first Shantae game. I thought it was pretty fun!
I don’t get it? I thought the Smash Ballot was supposed to determine 5 characters to be added to Smash? But yet, only Bayonetta won? It makes no sense to me. And, is there any list showing all the characters that was voted for, and how many votes each received?
