Crush 40, the Japanese-American rock band who are known for making music for the Sonic the Hedgehog series, have written on Facebook that they might be providing some music to the previously unannounced Sonic 25th Anniversary video game. The post has since been deleted as one would suppose that they weren’t meant to mention the game. Thankfully TSSZ caught hold of the message and you can read it, below.
When will there be news about the Crush 40 album?

I completely disagree there. I can always go back to a Crush 40 theme and jam out to it. And during Final Bosses, they’re incredibly fitting.

To be fair, not that I recall. Endless Possibility rings a bell as the one that I didn’t have much of a problem with, but I’m speaking from memory.
From the few songs by Crush 40 for Sonic games I’ve listened to, the only ones I actually like are those for Shadow the Hedgehog. The others are too generic/campy/corny/whatever for my liking.
I haven’t heard those, but since those were my main problems with the Sonic songs, they might be more of my liking too.

I might be a bit blinded by nostalgia, though, because I am one of the few that actually enjoyed Shadow the Hedgehog for trying to not be a carbon copy of every other Sonic game by being light hearted & crap.
Open Your Heart and Live and Learn. 2 of my favorite Sonic themes ever. Endless Possibility is good too though.
Those are my favorites too. I’d also add It Doesn’t Matter and then you’ll have my favorite Sonic songs from the 3D games.
It would be good for these guys to finally get involved in a Sonic game again. So I would welcome their return with open arms if this is true.
Judging buy SEGA’s “apology” to bring back Sonic’s heyday and Sonic’s 25th anniversary logo, I have a feeling that this game may be more classic than modern. Sonic Maker?

Please please PLEASE let it be SA3, let it be good, and let other characters besides Sonic be playable (especially Silver)!
I’d like a new Adventure game, buy don’t call it SA3. And ifd Silver is playable, this time he actually has to be fun to play as.
I thought he was fun to play as in 06′- the only part of it I really enjoyed. He was just too slow.
Shame we had to wait until 5 years later for Sonic Generations where the rival fight against Silver showed how awesome he really can be.
I only enjoyed the Sonic Stages.
The Generations Fight was a little extreme for gameplay, though.

It’d be nice to have them doing themes for Sonic again. They were part of what made the older 3D Sonic games so fun for me. They headlined some great soundtracks.
Not that Generations or Lost World had bad soundtracks, just that it wasn’t the same.
Damn… Apparently Jun Senuoe was asked about what Johnny said and had no idea what they were talking about. But this is sending mixed signals. I mean, he said “maybe” when he could have said “I don’t know” like Jun did…
Yeah I hope the anniversary be in all home consoles because that would make a good sonic 25th anniversary game.
