The head of CD Projekt Red is still painfully aware of the rocky launch reception Cyberpunk 2077 had and says that the company still has work to do to win back gamers. While Cyberpunk 2077 worked fine on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions were not up to par. He hopes that the long-awaited The Witcher 4 can win back fans when it launches in the future.

“I’m not 100% convinced we went through the full redemption arc. I’m convinced that we lost the faith of some people indefinitely, and that’s fair … But I do hope we will be able to make it back”

  1. At least they owned up to it. Honestly it was unacceptable how cyberpunk launched, but cd project red is a really good company, all of there games are physical, they have some of the greatest dlcs of all time, and they respond to fans.

  2. They should have been shut down they lied to investors and consumers. False advertising and fake footage claimed to be gameplay. Disgusting they came back, I blame morons who supported this it’s why companies do not respect consumers.

  3. good. they have to know that you can’t assume things. Cyberpunk showed that it needed time to be a masterpiece, and that sometimes is better to wait instead of publishing something when you shouldn’t.

  4. Nah. If anything, they were forgiven way too quickly. The CP2077 launch fiasco should have, in normal circumstances, decreed the closing of the company.

  5. They made a mistake…yes! But, they at least continued with the updates to make the game right and now with such a big fan base to wow with the Witcher 4 they have the chance to redeem themselves.
Cough, cough a switch 2 physical version perfectly optimized!
