Nintendo UK recently uploaded a video which gave us a good look at the story in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess for those who never played the original on the GameCube and Wii and also to give some of us a refresher. The folks over at NWR have put together a comparison video comparing the Wii version to the updated Wii U version which comes complete with HD visuals and bloom. Check it out, below!

The game looked better on the Wii. I hate to say this, as TP is my favorite Zelda game. But honestly… All the lines are crisp and the edges are sharp. However the art direction was never meant to have sharp edges or crisp lines…
This game needed more than just a simple HD upgrade. It needed more attention to the details… The characters faces look just awful.. The background no longer has that Skyward Sword blur effect.. It really takes away from the beauty of the original game..
Yup. The fan request was clear, we wanted a remake not a port. And I know graphics aren’t every thing but there was such a huge advantage to make them look like actual 8th gen graphics.
It’s also confusing because the Wind Waker was titled with “HD” too and was an actual remake… as for Twilight Princess… smh.
Windwaker HD was made by Nintendo, Twilight Princess HD is not. It’s made by Tantalus. So of course the quality isnt as good.
Then Nintendo should had thought about helping with the visuals when they gave them the greenlight of another developer making the game.

Look at the picture on the right. It looks so much better, and I’m not just talking about those duck lips. I’m talking about everything in the picture looks better on the right… geez man, what a bummer.
I’m hoping that when I actually play the game it looks better. I honestly was not that blown away with Windwaker HD pics either, but that turned out amazing… I won’t hold off judgement, but I will hold on to a little optimism until I play it for myself.

You have no proof of that. It could very well be ported to the NX. Already there are rumors that Smash will be a launch title for the NX. If that’s true you think for one second they wouldn’t port other Wii U games? C’mon man, I love my Wii U too, but it’s time to face reality.

Nintendo should had thought about adding and helping with the visuals when the game was in early R&D. But they are stupid so….it’s too late now.
