Attack on Titan is doing best on the Vita? Uh. That game needs a bigger screen. Or maybe you like looking at tiny titans. Gee. So cool. Anyway nothing has changed here. 3DS still does hella good. And the Wii U… Eh-yup…
“B-b-b-b-b-but the stock was low!”
That is what likely is happening, considering it’s sold about 3,900 units for the past 3 or so weeks. I doubt the demand in Japan has fallen to exactly 3,900 units per week. We would should be seeing more variation, but we’re not.
It’s been steady at 4k before without a “stock shortage”, it’s hard to really call that proof, especially in one of these limbo months with no releases after major stock was sold at christmas meeting a lot of the demand that was there.
It was 6K it was steady at last year during this time frame.
No new games = no sales.
3ds is getting games so of course it is doing well
That and the nx rumors are flooding the internet, wiiu will sell next to nothing since everyone takes rumors as if they are always true.
I’m not going to assume anything, lest I be made to look silly, but I am curious to see if the numbers stay the same in March, as that is when a few commenters have said the restock will take place. I personally don’t think it is all because is the stock issue. Sure there is some blame that falls on it. How much we do not know. But I could certainly be wrong, which is why I am not assuming. Once March rolls around and the restock occurs, we will know for sure.
It is stock issues. Some super mario maker bundles were restock and there is a boost of 25 percent for the game because of it. The stock issues are real. Now how much more it would of sold without stock issue remains to be seen as it could be same as now or it could be greater than last year but won’t know until stock issue is under control.
Yeah. I really want to see the full effect once the restock is done. I think you were one of the commenters saying March is when the restock will occur. As I mentioned, it’s hard to decipher how much the stock issue is effecting it. I think part of it is also that A) there aren’t too many new games currently, or information and B) the NX is causing people to hold out and wait for that rather then buy a Wii U. March may bring us since answers.
It is a wonder but Japan never was a big issue for Wii U. North America and Europe is the issue. In Japan Wii U is coming close to Gamecube numbers. Home country they are fine. The rest of the world just not showing or have not shown interest.
Really? I was not aware Japan was approaching their Gamecube quota, so to speak. Well that certainly changes my opinion. Thanks for the info.
You welcome. I learned it in the neogaf sales thread not to long ago.
Its a steady 3k per week, if it was a stock issue, then the units should be lower each week… Stop damage controlling.
First I don’t receive any money from Nintendo so I do not have to damage control nor do I care to. Second, whether you want to believe me that is up to you. Third, fact is stock issue or not it’s 3.9K per week. Fourth, if you have have any some source that it is not stock issues in Japan that would be great. Major retailers in Japan has gone on the record to state the stock shortage. Was stated that the Super Mario Maker bundle just came back into stock. It is fine if you believe it is not a stock issue. I don’t have anything to prove to you but if you have other information that it is not a stock issue, I am willing to read it.
also, here is my proof. Show me yours.

I’m done now…
I’d get the setsuna game on ps4 right now if it was released in the west. I literally have nothing to play on it til dark souls 3.
It’s crazy how poorly the xbone is doing in japan!
Wow. Look at all those vitas. I bet their library over there is on point.
I wouldn’t know I only have Nintendo products cuz I’m a Kokiri kid adventurer like that.
It’s really annoying to me that the Vita is supported so much better in Japan and is basically dirt in America. The Vita is a great handheld device with some great games, but those few great games are not going to sell the thing forever. Sony could have pulled a Nintendo, like how they revived their 3DS console: with plent of support and GAMES. Good games!

wish SFV took top spot
SFV’s launch wasn’t so great. The game has less content than what people expected it to. Of course, it will grow over time with the addition of new characters, etc. But it seems lacking at the moment. I don’t exactly know why it came out so early. It would have been better off being delayed awhile longer so they could put more into it. It’s no bad game, but it didn’t live up to the hype everyone thought it would.
