Today marks Nintendo of America President and COO Reggie Fils-Aime‘s 55th birthday. Reggie has been on Nintendo since December of 2003, when he was hired as Nintendo’s Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing. He was promoted to President and Chief Operating Officer on May 25th, 2006 when his predecessor, Tatsumi Kimishima, migrated to the Chairman of the Board and chief executive officer.
Reggie is known the most for the “my body is ready” declaration he made on July 11th, 2007, back when Nintendo introduced the Wii Balance Board. In E3 2004, he introduced himself by saying, “My name is Reggie. I’m about kickin’ ass, I’m about takin’ names, and we’re about makin’ games.”

well I have to say I don’t give a shit if he is black or white (lol see what I did ) or even green or yellow. What I care about his doing a good job for Nintendo. The colour of his skin should not matter but then my question to you is:” why do you care?”
He’s been president for nearly 10 years?! That’s about 4-5 years too many.
Time for someone new or NOJ needs to give him more power. We blame NOA all the time but who knows what happens behind closed doors and NOJ is the one that decides releases.

Happy 55th birthday, Reggie. Now retire! I couldn’t keep my window at the top of the page where a picture of Reggie’s face was for too long. Otherwise, I would have punched the computer screen then be without a computer since this is a desktop where the screen & harddrive are one piece of hardware.
