Miitomo is already out in Japan, but those of you in the west that haven’t downloaded the Japanese version will be awaiting the release of fun communication application in the west. Nintendo has repeatedly said that the application would be released worldwide in March and the official website previously reconfirmed this. However, the notice of the March 2016 release on the English Miitomo site has mysteriously disappeared.
Thanks, MasterPikachu6

I’m sure everything is going to be okay. Everything is going to be okay. Everything is okay. Okay?
I bet this has less to do with Miitomo itself, but more to do with My Nintendo not being ready or something.
Nintendo is never ready for the western market :(
Why is this peace of shit taking so long to release? Where the fuck is my Nintendo? When the fuck will Zelda Wii u release. Why does my hand smell like pussy? I’m about to fuck some bitches up if I don’t get any fucking anwsers.
The black guy turned around like “what the fuck was that shit.”
You have an interesting sense of humour.
The answer is simple, they found some bugs after the Japanese release and want to fix those before the western release.
And that’s why it’s probably delayed a little bit, but I’m sure we are getting it sometime halfway April. 2 weeks delay is not really a big deal in my opinion, leaving bugs is worse for mobile apps.
Is it really that simple? I mean like, the my Nintendo accounts are not even activated yet for western audiences, which you would think that wouldn’t be too big of an issue. The My Nintendo seems to act like a new version of club Nintendo, and Miitomo is a way to help earn points for it…not totally sure on that, but I feel that is the gist of it so far. If there were bugs after the Japanese release, then wouldn’t there be reports of said bugs from people who have used the Miitomo app? Even then the app seems to be pretty much completely english so then where is the issue with it being released world wide? It feels like to me that they want to see how it performs because they go and release it world wide. That would make the most sense in my mind. Then again it’s kind of silly how we have a my Nintendo account, and a Miiverse account and then the Miitomo, that’s like overly redundant in my opinion.
The problem is, most people don’t report bugs. Most mobile gamers give their free smartphone games only one chance. Is it buggy? uninstall, and never look back. So I can imagine, if they find bugs during the Japanese release, they want to wait till those are ironed out. Releasing it with bugs is just commercial suicide for the mobile market. I think Japan was their pilot audience because they are the most loyal Nintendo fans. But you are right also, they should, at least, just tell us why it is delayed.
Not even surprised. We need another Nintendo Direct…
As much as im curious about trying it out i cant really say im overly hyped to the point where (probably) delays concerning bugfixes would actually bother me.
Your welcome, as I had a word with Nintendo of America and told them North America doesn’t take kindly to mobile shit, so it would be in their best interest not to release any of their mobile crap in the here in the West. So yeah, your all welcome.
(And for the grammar nazi’s, I meant to say You’re*) lol

Funny how the phone in the picture says Sony. Only way to play Nintendo games in a Sony device.
Ooh no. What ever shall we do? 😉
Some perv already abused it. They must be stripping out social functionality for the western release. :)
It’s that guy in the article photo making a girl character :p
Haha. Probably. Be nice if a Nintendo social app could remain functional for more than a few months before they gimp it.
-||Well I’m sure our NN-Police = Nintendo Nazi Police, will take control over it||-
Like the German Nazis from those days, these guys need to be exterminated.
(Skip to 10 seconds in because I don’t know how to change the address to automatically go to that part.)
-||And will be replaced by me, the new police of The First Order of Nintendo||-
Yeah, you’re kinda the “Judge Dread” of Nintendo. ;D

I hope this doesn’t have anything to do with My Nintendo being delayed ;-; That’s the only part of this I’m concerned about lol
True. ;-;
Me too! I hope that NOA includes physical retail codes for My Nintendo, as the majority of my purchases won’t be covered otherwise. It’s not that I don’t buy digital, just not for larger releases that are available at retail. Virtual Console and eShop exclusives/indies are obviously purchased digitally, but I don’t feel comfortable dropping over $50 for something intangible.
No no no. It is still coming “Late March 2016.” The static image that said “March 2016” was swapped for this NEW VIDEO that still says “Late March 2016” at the end of it. Please update this article…….
INB4 CENSORSHIP™
Maybe they realized that it’s frankly a terrible idea. Maybe they realized that Miitomo sounds like a cutesy Japanese word. Maybe they realized that western audiences aren’t going to know wtf Miitomo is. Maybe they realized that if they want to get away from the Wii brand that they should also stop naming things “Mii-“. Maybe they realized that Miis were a fad and that people are over it (I hate my Mii. He doesn’t have nearly enough customization options. Heck, I had more fun customizing my avatar in Pokken.). Maybe they realized that Miitomo is a disaster waiting to happen.
I doubt it, but I do agree with your stance haha.
I went to the Japanese App Store and saw the reviews. All I saw were 1 -2 star ratings! If only I can read Japanese so I can see their problems :( or maybe they are being spoiled brats ._.
Fuck Miitomo! What about Nintendo Account & My Nintendo!? I need a reason to care about my Wii U again because Zelda U is still a long ways away! I need to know if I can get my digital purchases & save data transferred from my old Wii U to my new one without having to go through the bullshit transfer that requires two Gamepads when I only got one fully functional one!
I refuse to pay around 100 bucks to fix one of the Gamepads, where the touch screen is unresponsive, laying around when I’m only gonna use the damn thing once. Whoever’s bright idea it was to make the god damn Gamepad integral to use the Settings should be demoted! I want to say “should be fired” but that might be too harsh of a punishment.
You should’ve been able to freely download your games on any new system. But instead, you have to do a system transfer. Why did Nintendo think that was a good idea? I sold my Wii U, but if I ever decided that I wanted to get a new one, I no longer have access to my previous digital games now. (This included 3DS which I also had some digital games there too) So basically, I’d have to start all over again. It’s like I never even had a Wii U. That’s very stupid. I don’t have a PS4 since mine had gotten stolen, but I can put my account on someone else’s and easily redownload my previous purchased games. None of that transer BS.
Since I got PlayStation Plus, if something happens to my current PS4, I can not only get my previously purchased games on a replacement but my save data as well since I got the Auto-Upload setting activated. As for Nintendo, I think it’s just them trying to control their customers every move. Hence why region lock was still a thing this gen. I’m afraid they’ll continue to use that bullshit so NoA can make sure no one buys games they censor for stupid reasons from a country where the game WASN’T censored. Must hope the eShop for the NX isn’t region locked & let’s us buy digitally from another region’s eShop. I would have bought Fire Emblem Fates from Japan, if it has English subtitles which I’m sure it does since they do have English speaking Americans living in Japan, or the UK if region lock wasn’t Nintendo’s digital version of the god damn Berlin Wall or Wall of China! But as it stands, no money from me, Nin… ten… D’OH..! *facepalm*
One thing to know about that cloud save storage is that it gives you a limit to how much you can upload. I suggest you use a USB stick to save extra data. I’m not sure why you need to pay for a subscription to access that feature, but at least it’s an option. An option Nintendo does not even give you, unfortunately.
I noticed the limit. Luckily, save data doesn’t take up too much data. I’ve got around 10 games on the PS4 with save data & the limit has barely moved away from the max limit of storage left.
This is one of the areas where Microsoft has actually done better than Sony tbh.
“How much cloud storage do I have?”
“On Xbox One, each individual game is given storage. As a user’s game library grows so does their cloud storage and an Xbox Live Gold subscription is not required. This effectively gives Xbox One users unlimited cloud storage based on their library size.”
Lol.
Seriously? Wow. Xbox is kicking everyone’s asses when it comes to internet features. But is to be expected since their owners, Microsoft, are a computer company first & foremost.
The Xbox One has definitely turned around. It’s no longer the train wreck it used to be. But the damage has already been done. Don Mattrick set Xbox One up for total failure trying to push always online DRM. And they focused too much on trying to revive Kinect. They were in deep trouble when Sony announced PS4 being $100 cheaper and stronger than the Xbox One. Phil Spencer has done a great job managing the Xbox brand, but he simply cannot fix the total destruction that Mattrick caused, unfortunately.
