James Honeywell, who was Nintendo UK’s head of consumer marketing, has left the company after over two decades of service.
Honeywell started off his career with Nintendo in the customer service department, and his ambition and passion for the industry has seen him progress through the ranks to get to where he is today. He has been part of many major advertising campaigns such as the Wii and DS commercials.
“Working for Nintendo was my dream. Constant innovations in hardware and working on some of the best games ever created have made every day rewarding.”
The reason for his leaving is due to him taking a short break, but intends to return back to the video game industry in the future.

That receding hairline lol.

geez, forget that alison story and look at the employement situation in Nintendo for the past 2 years. There must a lot of conflicts within Nintendo and that does not look good. I would not be surprise the policies, the vision and the current view of the new CEO as well as the changes he would like to make did not go down very well in UK.
Furthermore I really but really fear what the NX will be now (well I did not care in the first place but it what comes after it and the consequence of the NX I fear the most). Bear in mind those people are in the know and which those depatures and changes (maybe for the best) it does not look good.
-||Or maybe his supreme lordship is finally casting out the useless cretins that didn’t market etc etc the Wii U and other things the last few years||-
To be fair look in Europe and US. They don’t do much either, last time I was in boras/falkoping or Munich I didn’t see any Nintendo ads. Hence my view, I think only time will tell.
-||That’s my point, the new High Command is possibly getting rid off the incompetent ones and replacing them with more aggressive ones||-
Oups I should have said that it may be a budget or marketing plan issue. My point was that UK or any office wanted to be more aggressive but Nintendo say: No!!! And I would make sense to me when you look at Nintendo worldwide. By the I wouldn’t be surprised if the bloke go to Sony
Damn forget some words… Like by the way and it would make sense to me…

Good. No disrespect to the guy, but the UK marketing in recent years has been poor, at best.
Time for fresh blood who can take on the big boys.
In fact, 21 years ago was the last big year of the SNES, at least in the UK.
Now if only a few idiots in NoA would fucking leave!
