The Legend of Zelda Was Remade In 3D For Internet Browsers

Two mysterious fans, “Scott” and “Mike”, have recreated The Legend of Zelda in honor of the NES game’s 30th anniversary. According to the duo, the game uses WebGL and voxels rendering to create a pixel-perfect replica of the game, all in JavaScript. The game is also in 3D, with the camera now at an angle to give players a new perspective on an old game.

There is no information on Nintendo’s decision on the game. It’s possible that Nintendo could order a cease and desist on the game, but it’s also possible that Nintendo may hold back and let the game remain online instead.

Feel free to let us know in the comments what you think of the game.

Doubt it. I think this game is on the eShop, so Nintendo will do what Nintendo does. It would be surprising if they don’t.

          1. Did you think I meant the fan-made 3D version by any chance? If so then no, it’s not on the eShop. I meant the original version of The Legend of Zelda, when I said it was on the eShop (sorry for the confusion).

  2. Or better yet! Nintendo actually pays these guys a little money, takes what they made, & gives it to us on a Wii U & 3DS to celebrate Zelda’s 30th Anniversary! Or give them an actual job that lets them go & do this with other NES games.
