We have found out from the Metroid Prime: Federation Force mission briefing video that the game does not scale the difficulty if you’re playing with less than 4 players. This means that it’s going to be a considerable challenge if you can’t find enough people.
As I mentioned earlier, I think four players playing together locally is the most fun way to play this game. But if you can’t round up others to play with, you do have the option of going online to find allies. Additionally you can play singleplayer. There will be no handicap on your enemies strength though, so it will be quite the difficult task. If you’re an expert player, consider this a challenge from us here on the development team and try going it alone.

I don’t understand all the hate for this game it looks fine
Fans: “We want a new Metroid game!”
Nintendo: “After 3 years, here’s Other M!”
Fans: “……ehhhh…..we want a more classic Metroid. Hell, how about Metroid Prime again?”
Nintendo: “After 6 years, here’s Federation Force!”
Fans: “…….wtf.”

I’m gonna be a fucking hipster and preorder this game and play it on launch for 50 hours straight
Took me a couple reads to properly understand what the title meant
Will be playing this game, 3ds needs a better shooter….
If I hear good things about the single player, I might give this a try because I’m honestly curious.
Already played the single player and the AI is too brutal. They could have at least had an option to wind down your opponent’s difficulty since it’s near impossible to get the ball to the opposing field.
So what you’re saying is that in a year when the online community drops off, the game will be unplayable.
Didn’t Nintendo say something about their games lasting the test of time? Hmm.
“There will be no handicap on your enemies strength though, so it will be quite the difficult task. If you’re an expert player, consider this a challenge from us here on the development team and try going it alone.”
Not sure how that translates to unplayable unless you’re just not good at video games. But if you’re not good at video games aren’t they all technically “unplayable”? ;)
Unplayable is maybe the wrong word. Perhaps I should have said “not fun”, or “uninteresting”.
This is definitely a to each their own opinion, but personally, when a game is very challenging i find it much more fun and interesting, and if you can manage to complete the challenge it is much more rewarding.
Looked at gameplay where enemies stood right besides the troopers and dind’t do anything
