Koichi Sugiyama has composed music for nearly all the game’s in the Dragon Quest series. He’s been seen as one of the best video game composers. However, now he’s been given a World Record to honour his contribution to the industry. 85 year old Sugiyama has been recognised as the oldest video game composer in the world. Despite this, he hasn’t shown any sign of stopping. Sugiyama is currently working on the soundtrack to Dragon Quest XI.
Kewl! …Congrats!
Wow that’s crazy at that age I probly won’t be able to even feed myself anymore lol
When will Miyamoto get awarded for zero story in his games i would wonder? Jk guys don’t roast me:)
At 85, I pray I can still hear so I can listen to video game music.
I haven’t played much of Dragon Quest (since I know that that’s going to take up so much of my time; Xenoblade and Animal Crossing certainly are), but the music is definitely great.
I wonder if Koji Kondo will appear in there some day.
Dragon Quest theme is up there with Final Fantasy and Zelda. I love the old NES Dragon Warrior music. Some of my favorite classics.
