Unreal Engine “Thrilled to Partner With Nintendo” To Help Developers Bring Their Games To Nintendo Switch

The Unreal Engine Twitter account has just Tweeted that they are ”thrilled to partner with Nintendo” to help Unreal Engine 4 developers bring their games to the newly revealed Nintendo Switch.

The game engine developed by Epic Games is a well known tool for developers and received the Develop Industry Excellence Award for “Best Game Engine” this year. They are certainly a good third party partner for Nintendo to have on board.

  1. More and more confirmation that this system while probably not a beast still pack some heat.

Switch does what Wii U don’t.

    1. I don’t think Nintendo would use Unreal. They seem happy to use the Havok engine for Smash.

Also, I have doubts in my mind about seeing another instalment of Smash on the Switch.

      1. You never know when Nintendo would could come up something HUGE while using the Unreal Engine 4 in their games for Switch.

However, we heard that Bandai Namco will 100% develop Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo Switch… powered by Unreal Engine 4.
