Unfortunately, there has been a nasty Nintendo-related scam making rounds lately. Two sites are being spread on the internet that point to a fake Nintendo Switch Beta registration page, which asks for your email to get an invitation code. The sites belong to a domain registered from someone who has no involvement with Nintendo. The email itself will say the following: “PREPARE FOR REVOLUTION – Congratulation! You are eligible to join the Nintendo Switch™ Beta Program! You are chosen, which means you can get into the Nintendo Switch Beta! You will receive the Nintendo Switch Beta Hardware which includes 1 System, 1 Docking Station, 2 Switch Controller (Left and Right) HDMI cable, 1 power adaptor, as well as instruction booklet. Below, you will find a code to redeem. Please note: This code is specifically for your account, so do not share this with anyone”. The code it sends you seems legitimate, but in truth, code is just numbers. Nintendo uses alphanumeric codes. There’s no telling what the consequences of going with the scam will do, but it is a scam, and it’s something to stay clear of as much as possible.
Thanks, N-Dub Nation

You gotta be kidding me.
nope, and this is how big switch is and why so many haters are dissing it.
keep dreaming dude.
don’t worry for lord obinna will perform a vigorous anilingus on you.
Someone has to bless all the “red ring of death” and my lord has the lips to do the job…
the purge of the nintendrones has begun.
– Church of Sasori
Again you got it backwards, when you gonna learn that? It was xbox that got the red ring of death. And its whatever you say, be delusional all you like, you tube and the net can’t lie about success…
interesting…
you do not understand our sacred ritual…
bend over the table
No offense but you gotta be pretty much a DAMNED FOOL to believe Nintendo (as secretive as they are! Shit!!! their secrets have secrets!) would ship beta SWITCH systems to anyone not affiliated with an legitimate established developer.
The only thing Nintendo gives out are T Shirts & key chains. & that’s in a limited supply! Lol
Now all they give are discount coupons for T-shirts and keychains.
If you fall for this you deserve to be scammed.
WHY ARE YOU VICTIM BLAMING??
>.< For the same reason we blame an idiot that falls off of a cliff because he was too busy playing Pokemon GO: because he was an idiot that deserved it for not watching where the fuck he was walking! xD
Because it’s an obvious fake and people need to browse the internet responsibly, and be able to spot a fake ad like spotting a danger in public and steering clear. I’m sure there are significantly better made scams out there.
lol
Did people truly believe in this trap?
The world has shown it has millions of idiots running about. So I would believe some morons have fallen for this. Poor saps.
Perhaps is “hardbingers of what is yet to come”
~Final Fantasy 3 of DS~
Well Nintendo don’t like scams because they don’t know what to do about this behavior. Besides someone is behind this and the person is trying to Rip us off.
Its probably a hacker or someone that wants to steal money right?
That’s what I mean
I don’t know this was a problem till now…
As in this piticular scam
are you drunk???
Thank you for the warning, My Nintendo News, I’ll be sure to tell others. And these guys are probably trying to get money, time for the Nintendo blocking patrol to move out!
Congratulations on making this post ssf1991 you have just won a free beta version of the Nintendo Switch game system to claim just go to https://www.nintendoswitch.com/this-is-so-not-a-fake-nintendo-switch-beta-scam and enter the following code 44567898789787902 hope you enjoy! :)
Are you trying to get into trouble or something?
its a joke…
Watch out Cody, you might get in trouble.
That’s my job.
First: The grammar in that scam email is AWFUL. Second, I’d gather anyone falling for it gets a second email asking for a deposit, probably via credit/debit card to secure their non-existent beta console. Third, once your money is gone, you get nothing but an empty bank account and tears (not of joy). Yep, some will fall for this hard, lol…
Good thing I have no bank account or even a job! lol
Aw, I made myself sad. :(
“Switch Controller (Left and Right)”
It’s called the Joycon. Retards. XD
Congratulation! Why, Thank!
If anyone bites they deserve it you dont need to warn people lets allow a little darwinism here
So many haters On Nintendo Dave been around for a very long time I know that you know that Nintendo is the best deal with it
our master plan exposed…
||What a useless plan…||
If they are aware, Nintendo should put out a warning of their own on Miiverse & their forums on their main site.
FUCKING LMAO
IMA DO IT!!! mwahahaha!
When you see someone make a boat load of grammatical errors, something is clearly fishy with said “offer”.
It reminds me of those random free Pokecoin comments you see almost everywhere on Youtube. Even comments on videos that have absolutely nothing to do with Pokemon GO itself.
Heck, Steam Users do this stuff all the time on Steam as well, and it’s sad seeing it still happen to this very day.
Scalpers and scammers. Two of the biggest parasites in this world. I hate them both equally.
||I will propose several programs for Nintendo to help them deal with them more efficient…||
Since all they’re doing is asking for your e-mail address, my guess is they’re just going to sell that to spam-senders.
Not the worst scam in the world, but still, don’t do it.
If you fall for this, then natural selection is a bitch, ain’t it?
I guess my last comment hasn’t posted because I included links with it. I have a link checker, when I checked the link for redeeming the code it came back at me showing that it was going to execute files called “sweetalert”, “get-shit-done”, “bootstrap”, and “magnific-popup”, all Java files. I’m no techy person but I’d say that’s virus talk. You guys can see the whole thing if MNN takes my last comment out of the spam folder. It’s there because it includes the links.
Sorry I guess I should say .js files which I assume is Javascript
That’s insane
