Metroid Prime-Inspired Morphite Arriving On Nintendo Switch This Fall

Crescent Moon Games has just announced that Morphite will be launching on the Nintendo Switch this fall. Originally announced for PC and Mobile, the news today confirms it will also be arriving, day-and-date, on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

According to the developers, Morphite is “lovingly inspired by classics – Metroid Prime, Ratchet and Clank, and Turok.” You take on the role of Myrah Kale, a young woman who lives on a space station and goes on a routine exploratory mission that is anything but routine. She quickly learns that she is of much more importance in this universe and has some relationship to the valuable and nearly extinct material called Morphite.

There will be a main story to follow, but exploration is a huge part of Morphite and you will be able visit many randomly generated planets to scan flora and fauna, discover upgrades for your ship, weapons, and suit, trade, solve puzzles, participate in real-time space combat, and much more.

Morphite is a collaboration effort by Crescent Moon Games, We’re Five Games, and Blowfish Studios, and will be releasing on the Nintendo Switch on September 7, 2017.

It’s coming to Switch, too. Besides, Nintendo wants to be the guys that innovate, right? Well being copied comes with the territory.
