Davide Soliani, creative director for Mario + Rabbids, recently confirmed something new about the game on Twitter. Soliani says that the game will be 900p when docked, and 720p in the Nintendo Switch’s portable mode. However, regardless of which mode you play the game in, you will get a solid 30 FPS. We’ve included Soliani’s tweet down below, so feel free to check it out.
30 fps sia portatile che docked. Ma docked è 900p.

I dont care for the resolution on a game that i dont care for it anyway lol :P
Than why comment here 😂😂😂😂
to make announcement that i don’t like the game so my followers will do the rest for not supporting it.
is your mind exploded now?
Why would it be? It’s a sad reason 😂😂😂
You don’t know him? He’s one of my friend. His job is to troll, but this time I agree with him. I don’t care about resolution and fps. The game is good enough. That’s all.
The game is good and I don’t think it needs some upgrade.
What a load of plop. You don’t have any followers. So many talented, creative people worked on this game. It looks great!
I don’t care for the resolution. Me too.
on a game that I don’t care for it anyway lol :P, From here you are trolling as always. I think you like the game but it’s not on your high priority for buy it. You prefer to spend money on another game first.
exactly like you said it. i like the game but not enough to buy the game. but well maybe in the future to be honest i will buy it as “used” then finish it and then sell it back again in the same price.
Sell it at the same price, depends where do you want to sell the game. If you think to Gamestop I suggest to you to change your idea and find someone else.
in greece we have our site named “Insomnia” there is plenty used games to buy and sell. i did it many times on wii u-wii
Its a slower paced strategy game so you don’t really need 60fps. In this situation I’ll take the higher resolution over the framerate. Faster paced games definitely need to be 60fps tho.
Like Sonic Forces.
The damage control is real. LOL
The trolling is real.
:D
How’s it damage control when it’s true?
Last time I checked, Star Craft was originally at a locked 30fps yet it has a massive following.
Are you for real? Star Craft came out in 1998. Even if you’re talking about SC2, which you didn’t specify, it’s still a ridiculous argument, because that one came out in 2010. You’re justifying the low performance of a 2017 game with the performance of a completely unrelated and 7 (or hell, potentially even a 19) year old game that’s already been improved a long ass while ago. Like… what???
Let’s just act like you never said any of that, for your own sake, haha.
The higher resolution? It’s not even hitting 1080p. It’s lower resolution and minimally accepted framerates.
But then, Nintendo isn’t about such things. It’s gameplay and how you play with Ninty.
What matters is how much it’s fluid. 30 fps without drops is a good achievement.
30 frames per second is 2017 average. It better fucking run at 30 fps. jesuzz. And yes, I agree. fluid is good. :)
Yeah but the tweet was asking about 720p 60fps.
I’m just saying, it’s not high resolution or impressive frame rates. it’s just squeeking by as a current gen game. nothing to celebrate my man.
I’m not celebrating, I’m just not overreacting.
30fps is plenty good for a game like this, as pretty as 60fps, it’s not necessary in every game style. However, the 900p is really interesting to me.
As much as Ubisoft went on about how easy Snowdrop worked on Switch, I don’t understand why it’s not native 1080p. It’s a pretty game, and it’s got a lot going on, even with the cartoony coat of paint it has, but 1080p seems like it should be a given. Then again, it’s their first real release for Switch, and we all know what happens with game development on a console over time. The games always look/feel/play better over time, so if these games are the worst we’ll see on Switch, there’s a bright future ahead.
I’m having a hard time understanding how this game is demanding as breath of the wild since that game is also 900p 30fps.
Probably didn’t bother optimizing as much as Nintendo on their blockbuster title.
Why a given? Resolution is about mathematics, if there isn’t space for 1080p evnetualy there are some things going on under the hood. It’s not the end of the world. Would you renounce to something for 180 lines more?
Don’t mind one bit as BotW looks great even at this same spec.
my exact thoughts… might be a bit different due to the art style, but I imagine there is also a lot going on at once in this game so hopefully a better experience overall is what they achieved
Makes a lot of sense, think about it, the game looks more graphically impressive than Oddysea even, is a really really pretty game.
Specs alone dont always mean a thing, it’s about how the entire setting makes it work. Gameplay over GFX has always been the power of Nintendo, even from the early days.
I remember when some people expected all, or at least, most of Wii U games @ 60 FPS/1080p. One generation has passed, and we still have games @ 30 FPS/720-900p. This is not the end of the world, most of games won’t be any worse with those reduced specs, but I find it funny how things shaped up over the last 5-6 years. That 60 FPS/1080p expectation faded away, revealing how delusional some fans can be.
Yeah. Wanting framerates only matter to fanboys when they can gloat about how superior their version is. But when those framerates & such aren’t the best around, suddenly they say bullshit like “Oh it doesn’t matter!” Sure it doesn’t when it isn’t working in your favor. Hypocrites.
Or when they can gloat about good graphics & framerates altogether.
So far, it seems once again the only ones that can truly take advantage of Nintendo’s hardware is Nintendo themselves. Such a great atmosphere where your 1st party games can reap all of the benefits & rarely deal with the issues other developers have. But I guess Ninty has to make sure the deck is stacked in favor of their games. I honestly have to wonder how well Nintendo really would do as a 3rd party developer. Maybe they should stay hiding on their own hardware built specifically for their games.
