A number of recently-surfaced rumors suggested that Bandai Namco was the lead developer behind Metroid Prime 4 on Nintendo Switch. However, it turns out that this might not be the case. According to the folks at Easy Allies, the studio may be focusing entirely on assets instead. To learn more about this new report, check out the video podcast below:
Rumor: Bandai Namco Is Not The Lead Developer Behind Metroid Prime 4

I thought that was already apparent. Nintendo already said that the main team developing MP4 was Internal at Nintendo, so Bandai Namco would just be helping out.
Internal? Did they say From Studio is producing the game?
srry but no i see nowhere in that press release that it was an internal team. It only said ”a talented new team”
I guess it’s a multiple developer effort??
Not too uncommon nowadays. Big budget AAA games with huger development teams almost always have a good bit of out-sourcing. Well, even for smaller projects it’s rather unlikely that everything is done in-house (like, at the very least the localization is often done somewhere else, or the publishing).
It’s better that Namco Bandai isn’t working on MP4
Why is that?
Just asking.
It’s not exactly a top developer able to do a 90+ game.
MP4 = Metroid Prime 4
I guess the team behind Metroid Prime 4 is the biggest secret of 2018. Who could it be?
That, or the team behind Nintendo Labo xD
Lol XD
Plot twist, they’re the same and Metroid Prime 4 is a new Labo kit where you built your own personal Varia Suit.
It’s EA.
*gasp* EA developing Metroid Prime 4!? THE END IS NIGH!!! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!!
Reply to Infinite Kalas X3: For some reason the video you sent, its unavailable both here and in youtube.
Fuck! Have you seen Army of Darkness? The 3rd Evil Dead movie with Bruce Campbell as the main character Ash? If you have, it’s the scene where one of the Tiny Ashs freak out that the real Ash is escaping his binds & the others have to come back to help him escape because he’s too terrified to run himself.
Reply to Infinite Kalas X3: Unfortunately I haven’t watched it, but I can imagine him so terrified that he can’t run.
Basically, he looks toward the screen (not directly at the screen), puts his hands on the sides of his head, and screams while letting his head fall backwards as his hands grasp onto it as 3 or 4 others come back and grab him by the arms, dragging him away.
So maybe Retro is working on it, but not as the primary developer.
What was the name of the studio that developed DK Jungle Climbers and DK King of Swing? Could those be the ones that are making Metroid Prime 4?
